Really loved the lounge and kitchen area with those beautiful views. Nice area for walking and the roads are quiet enough to walk into the local villages.

"A comfortable, well appointed cottage with some interesting features and so quiet !"
One small thing : non-slip mats in the showers would be a good idea.

It’s also close to lots of lovely places to visit. Beautifully maintained and stocked with all essentials. The fresh flowers and cream tea was a lovely touch. Would definitely return or recommend to anyone visiting Cornwall. Thank you to the owners for making our stay very special.

Great location for visiting all of the southern end of Cornwall really easily and very quiet and peaceful - highly recommended.

"We all thought The Old Byre is a really lovely holiday property."
Very comfortable and well equipped. Although it is off the main road along little Cornish lanes for a couple of miles, it wasn't a problem at all. We thought the local village pub was such an interesting and historic building and the menu was very good.
-
"Anazing stay at this property, John and Carol were lovely hosts."
The cottage is decorated to the highest specification....from jaw dropping light fittings to high quality fixtures and fittings. We also enjoyed the cream tea and milk which greeted us on our arrival. Will defo be back....thanks again.

"The Old Byre is beautifully furnished,so very comfortable."
Beautiful views, and lovely hearing and seeing the sheep. The owners are friendly and helpful, but not at all intrusive. Cream tea on arrival was such a welcome,as was the birthday card and flowers later in the week. Plenty of space for myself,my husband, teenage daughter and our little dog. Lovely walks, and so much to do. Beautiful beaches just a 15min drive away. The Old Byre is definitely a 5 star option. Cannot recommend highly enough.

"This was a lovely home from home, everything we could possibly need in beautiful surroundings on a working farm."
The owners made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them when we mentioned a small problem with the door out onto the garden in the one bedroom. They are rightly proud of their farm and happily introduced us to their farm animals. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing break with plenty of walking routes directly from the farm.

Carol and John made us feel very welcome and we are looking forward to another holiday there.

It is a little bit of heaven. The Old Byre is beautifully furnished, comfortable with everything that you could need. The setting is amazing looking out onto a field of gorgeous sheep and lambs and across stunning countryside yet very close to beautiful beaches. Carol and John, our hosts were exceptional and welcoming. We have a labrador and the walks are fabulous. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

"It was a joy to arrive at this lovely house on a wet and cold February evening."
The barn is very comfortable and intelligently designed to make the most of the super views and peaceful location. Lovely walks from the front door but also just a short drive to local gardens and beaches. Friendly hosts were happy to answer questions. Highly recommended.

"What a great find for our first Christmas away with friends and our small dog."
The Old Byre is a beautiful cottage located on a working farm. It is finished to a very high standard. Plenty of space for four adults and a small dog. Within easy reach of Falmouth, beaches and other places of interest. The family are on hand if you need anything, friendly and happy to talk about their farm life and rare breed sheep and also recommend places to visit or grab a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed with a stay at The Old Byre.

"The Old Byrne is an amazing holiday home set on a working farm in a beautiful location."
A lot of care has been taken to make the cottage feel homely and comfortable with a touch of luxury! The scones, clotted cream and jam were gratefully received. Would definitely recommend this property and the surrounding area. So much to do and see.

Very calm and peaceful environment while good positioned to get out and about in the car for nearby location. We loved it and had a great time there.

"Wow! We have just returned from The Old Byre after staying there for a week for our honeymoon - Carol, our host, and also her sister were so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay extra special."
They were even kind enough to leave us with some delicious scones and local clotted cream with jam, and also some milk in the fridge, which was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated! This place is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, secluded location to relax in. We also really enjoyed learning about their rare breed sheep and met their registered ram 'Yorkie Baa'. We would not hesitate to come back for another visit, and we will surely be recommending this place to all our family and friends. If you are thinking of booking then don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!
