  • "This is an excellent place to stay."

A larger sitting room would be an improvement. The owner is a very nice person and unbelievably helpful

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Delia's Cottage."

Perfect property and perfect location. We had everything we needed within the property and it was very comfortable. It was perfect for our (2) dogs. The garden was fully enclosed and safe and as the weather was very good we could leave the door open and they could roam freely. There was even a very good vet a very short distance away! It was a moderate walk in to Ballinrobe for shops and eating out. Great host! We would definitely recommend and certainly book again.

  • "Fiona was there to meet us as arranged."

Showed us how to work all the electrical things. Beds were spotless and comfy. Appreciated the milk & choccy biscuits on arrival. The only problem was we couldn’t set the heating ( old boiler) but when we switched the heating on manually, the place warmed up very quickly. We will be back as location so central.

  • "We had a great week in Delia's Cottage."

The property is very cozy and comfortable, in a good location for exploration with all the comforts of home. There is a lovely big garden, surrounded by fields with cattle, which our grandson loved. Our ferry crossing was delayed but Fiona waited untill 11pm to meet us and show us round, she even dropped off some DVDs for our grandson which made him very happy. Altogether a great place and a wonderful host!

  • "Spent a lovely few days in this house over the Christmas period with my wife and family."

Its a very cozy comfortable old style 4 bed cottage located 5 mins from the town of Ballinrobe. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived with the central heating on full blast and a lovely turf fire in the grate. Its location is very central for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The owner could not have been more helpful during our stay. I would highly recommend this property.

  • "Delia's Cottage was an ideal place for 3 of us (adults) and my dog."

The cottage was spacious, clean and well equipped - towels, kitchen equipment etc. The cottage was always lovely and warm, and the turf fire was perfect for cosy-ing the room. Off road parking and garden area were great. It was very well located - just outside of Ballinrobe but within walking distance of the town and the garage/shop. It was an ideal location for travelling around Mayo visiting Ballintubber Abbey, Knock Shrine, Lough Mask, Tourmakeady, Westport/Castlebar, Old Beach, Bertha Beach, Moore Hall, Croagh Patrick, Cong & Bowers Walk during our week's stay. Fiona, the owner met us on arrival and talked us through the workings of the cottage. She provided milk, biscuits, tea for us. Fiona also came to see us off on our last day. She was very friendly. It was a lovely place to stay.

We had a great time and only wish that we had more time to spend there. Fiona, the owner, was phenomenal to work with and she went out of her way to make sure that our stay was the best that it could be. She left us pastries and even made us a fire on the first day of our visit. We would DEFINITELY rebook Delia's Cottage again! Thanks so much Fiona!
