    "Lovely break at Streamside 1."

Great sized hot tub for four. Comfy beds and sofas. Clean. Great Outlook from decking and stream so relaxing. Could do with more knives, forks, spoons etc to fill dishwasher so water not wasted. Heating working well so lovely and warm on frosty mornings. All in all a great holiday and have stayed manyvtimes and would definitely choose Streamside 1 next time. Thanks to Laura and Ella for your help. Steve Bailes

Thank you so much for leaving us your wonderful review Steve, I am really happy that you loved your lodge and enjoyed spending time at 1 Streamside. Thank you so much for your suggestions regarding cutlery, I will pass this to our housekeeping team. I have passed your thanks to Ella and Laura and hope that you will be back again very soon! "The property was lovely."

Clean, comfortable & spacious. Extra crockery & cutlery would be a bonus as the dishwasher is full size. It had to be run half empty or you just do the washing up yourself. The kitchen has basic equipment. When we were there it was very quiet, all you could hear were the birds & the stream. The site is quite spectacular & very well maintained. The slight downside was that the advertised photos showed the stream, but in reality it was so overgrown that you couldn't see it & the brambles were starting to come up the sides & through the floor of the verandah. We were informed that the lodge had a lovely 180 degree view! The only view we had were trees surrounding the lodge. We did not mind the total privacy too much, but others may not like having nothing to see from any window. The hot tub would benefit from a cleaning net, to scoop out the flies & leaves that land in it while in use. Also a cleaning cloth/sponge to remove scum lines after each use. All in all, it is a lovely place to stay & relax in super surroundings. 1 Streamside was tip top & we didn't want to come home & certainly would return. Highly recommended for that much needed break.

Dear Trudy, Thank you so much for your feedback. We have your passed points on. We are so happy you loved the lodge and didn't want to leave. We hope you will visit again soon! Kind regards, Gemma - Charteroak Guest Services. Property Owner

LANREATH

  • Pelynt 2 miles
  • Looe 5 miles
  • Polperro 6 miles

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
