  • "We understand that plans are in place tgo onstall wi-fi in the chalets which would be great (unfortunately, we live in an age where you can't escape the need!"

Two nights, the bar wasn't open so I could not get in to do some urgent work, and with no 13amp socket outside of the bar on the decking (and fading light) it was bit inconvenient but i managed. With regards to the chalet, it was great and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot tap on the wash basin drips/runs unless you have a very strong grip and the wire coating at the head end of the shower is coming away. I am just pointing these out in case you haven't noticed them, but they di not spoil what was a very enjoyable break for us. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming. Thank you.   • "We had a fantastic time."

    The Lodge was well equipped with everything we needed for a short stay while we walked the south west coastal path. The communication and welcome from Kelly was also brilliant. I will be recommending the Lodge to others.

  • "Shelly and her hubby were lovely hosts and went out of there way to make sure we had a lovey holiday."

    Our chalet was really comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed for our stay. It’s also a perfect location for all the attractions we wanted to visit. It was lovely and quiet and a very relaxed atmosphere. We highly recommend staying here. Once again, thank you to our lovely hosts for making our holiday just perfect

COMBE MARTIN

Ilfracombe 5 miles; Woolacombe 12 miles; Barnstaple 13 miles.

At the point where the Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty meet, is where you'll find Combe Martin. This small seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction to locals and visitors alike. Combe Martin has a very popular beach; the sheltered cove is perfect for rock-pooling and it is a popular paddle boarding bay. The village also boasts its own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park! Combe Martin is home to the historic Earl of Rone festival held in May each year and has an annual carnival in August. This is an ideal base for touring, and discovering the delights of North Devon, with Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple all within easy reach. There are also numerous National Trust properties and gardens waiting to be enjoyed. Surfing at Woolacombe is among the best in the South West, while the South West coastal path passes within a mile. Combe Martin is a great base for enjoying a seaside getaway, with something to keep everybody entertained.
