"This is the third time we have stayed in this lovely cottage, all was perfect."
It's a great location with easy access to all the delights of Topsham and the surrounding area. Great public transport links, the car spent most of the week in the Holman Way car park and we walked most places.

The property
5 Exe Street enjoys a prominent position in the heart of Topsham, on the outer fringes of Exeter.
Located on the edge of the river Exe, this charming terraced cottage is set over three floors and is the perfect choice for a family or a group of friends. The open-plan living space has been lovingly renovated by the owner with a blend of modern and vintage furniture, pale blue walls and cream tiled floors, making the room feel bright and welcoming.
Prepare an evening meal or a hearty breakfast in the pristine and well-equipped modern kitchen (or choose from one of the local restaurants in Topsham).
The smart TV includes a Netflix account, and the Bluetooth speaker/CD player, selection of board games and DVDs will keep you entertained during the evening. Just off the hallway, you'll find a WC and washing machine/tumble dryer. On the first floor, there's a double bedroom with a king size bed and a single room, each with pocket-sprung mattresses and a shared family bathroom. On the top floor there is a further cosy single room with a day bed and TV, where you can catch a glimpse of the estuary.
Take your dining experience outdoors to the enclosed patio courtyard or soak up the sun with a refreshing drink in hand. Topsham is an excellent base for exploring this wonderful part of Devon, and holds a selection of eateries, well-worth visiting during your trip.

The open air swimming pool (summer opening) and the river are nearby for those who enjoy bird watching, walking or boating. Travel into the thriving city of Exeter where you can explore the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery, Exeter Cathedral, or the Underground Passages.
5 Exe Street is perfectly located to enjoy the delights of Topsham, Exeter, stunning Dartmoor or the glorious Devon coastline.

The charming town of Topsham is set on the River Exe estuary and has been declared a conservation area due to the wealth of 17th and 18th century merchants' houses, many built in the Dutch style with carved gable ends. Within the town you will be delighted to find a selection of historic pubs and award-winning restaurants including The Galley Fish and Seafood Restaurant, which boasts panoramic views of the Exe Estuary. Foodie lovers will also enjoy the town’s food festival which happens every summer. The town also plays host to a magnitude of independent shops, galleries and the Topsham Museum is an interesting visit. From here, you can catch a train into the city of Exeter where you can explore the city walls which surround the centre and the Gothic Cathedral, or head in the opposite direction and soak up the sun at the seaside resort of Exmouth.
