"A tidy comfortable cottage, ideally situated in Ambleside."
With everything that you would need, including a proper freezer and a dishwasher. Well presented and spacious - unusual for a cottage for two or in my case one! It's nice to have room to swing a cat - not that I'd swing a cat - I dont't have a cat, and anyway pets aren't allowed! But seriously it is one of the best properties that I have staat in years.d in y

"A great location and allocated parking."
All you need from a holiday cottage. Bed extremely comfortable. Kitchen facilities all there. Ambleside just a fantastic place to be. Restaurants are fab, walking excellent and no need to use a car all week.

Perfectly located for a great holiday. Buses £2 to anywhere and walking distance to boats. No car needed. Always clean and the shower is brilliant.

"Very comfortable and cosy place to stay!"
It was quiet and warm, bright and cheerful. Plenty of space for two with a handy porch and very big bathroom (plus a view of the fells from the bath!) Great central location in Ambleside.
-

Central to shops and bus travel. On site parking a bonus. A most enjoyable stay. Would certainly book again.

"Just stopped her for a weeks holiday it was a lovely property right in the centre of Ambleside, near all restaurants, pubs and shops."
Great base for exploring, would definitely recommend. Great for couples, everything you would need for a perfect holiday. Only thing to bear in mind it is on a busy main road, but it did not stop us enjoying our holiday.

"Very comfortable cottage for two people with everything you could possibly need in terms of facilities."
Lots of information (books leaflets etc.) provided by the owner on the local area which was very useful. Great location for Ambleside centre (5 mins walk) and Lake Windermere (10 to 15 minutes walk). Would highly recommend.

-
"Great location for access to walks and Ambleside, however some traffic noise at night."
-
"Great cosy cottage with all amenities in a fantastic location"
-
"Great base, right in the centre of Ambleside."
What made this for us was the book the owner had produced of walks, all starting from the cottage and exploring the local area. As we are walking and Lake District novices we started off with the short one to Stock Ghyll Force and worked our way up to Grasmere, a round trip of 9 miles. While on the walks we were able to visit some places that were more off the beaten track, as well as the more touristy places, like Sarah Nelson's Grasmere Gingerbread shop.

"A clean cosy cottage with everything you need."
Located perfectly for the village ameneties (great restaurants) and walks in the countryside and lake. Public transport is excellent to get around without using the car. We have stayed here twice and will definately be back.

"Lovely cottage all that you need Road makes it noisy at night if you have ..."
Lovely cottage all that you need Road makes it noisy at night if you have windows open bed could have been a bit bigger needs a good dust around the cottage just a few pointers did enjoy lovely time
-
"Cottage very nice but more road noise at night than we expected due to aggressive driving around one-way system in Ambleside."
Parking a bit tight for large cars.
-
"2 Tweenways was excellent accommodation."
It had all the right facilities and was very usefully situated at just the right distance from all the shops. We hope to return.
-
"Lovely cosy cottage in ideal location for many scenic walks."
Enjoyed our stay
-
"Every thing was as expected from booking the property to arriving."
The owner had done everything to make us feel welcome by supplying milk and coffee etc so that we could have a drink on our arrival.
-
"This is the 2nd time we have the cottage, because we love using it!"
Its just a lovely cosy little cottage. It is close to Ambleside and Lake Windermere. It has its own parking space. So we can leave the car and go walking to Wansfell pike and along to Rydal water. The Waters edge inn is 10 minutes down the road where you can sit by the lake and have can have a drink with a beautiful view. Although we didn't use it it is also very close to the bus route so you can jump on the buses. Its just a good location central to stay. I would love to buy a cottage like this!
-
"Put on the listing that towels are not provided."
I don’t mind that towels weren’t provided but because we didn’t know we didn’t bring any and had to purchase some whilst we were there (towels are surprisingly hard to find in Ambleside) if this information had just been provided in the description we would have known to bring some and avoided the inconvenience.
-
"Beautiful cottage, very clean, more appliances than we would have expected for a cottage for two."
Well stuated close to Ambleside and only ten minutes walk to Lake. Would definitely stay here again.
-
"We really enjoyed our time there, the cottage is well placed for travelling as well as for the village itself ."
Having a parking space was a bonus too . The cottage is well laid out for two , and nicely decorated .
-
"A nice comfortable cottage in a good location."
Being on my own I would have liked more channels on the TV. Also on some nights some of the channels that should have been available were listed as no signal! Otherwise I have no other issues.
-
"This is a clean, well equipped, well located, cozy cottage."
-
"We had a lovely relaxing time in two tweenways."
Everything we needed was provided and it was like a home from home. The cottage owner was lovely, we would definitely stay again.
-
"The flat gives you everything two people in The Lakes!"
It’s 5 mins walk from the town centre... You can have adventure from your door up Loughrigg or Wansfell or the Fairfield Horseshoe. Cooking facilities are limited and there’s no room for bikes as it’s s first floor flat....
-
"Ideal position to explore Lake District."
Everything one would need for a great holiday.
-
"Well-situated and good value, thanks very much."
Decent cotton sheets would have been better in the bed but otherwise very pleasant.
-
"We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage which we found extremely cosy and comfortable."
We enjoyed coming back to the cottage at the end of the day as it felt like home from home. This cottage is in a really good location for shops and bus stops and we would definitely stay here again. Only request that we would ask is that towels are provided so that you don 't have to bring them with you.
-
"Two Tweenways Cottage was very cosy and we would certainly stay there again."
Some extra touches like milk and chocolates were most appreciated after a long journey!

About the location
AMBLESIDE
Grasmere 4.4 miles; Windermere 4.7 miles; Keswick 16.7 miles.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
