"Great accommodation, nice peaceful area with facilities across the road."
Pet friendly and a great location for exploring.

"It is a nice lodge in a lovely, quiet area of South Lakeland, which made a nice change for us."
We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the ducklings each morning and left some food behind for future visitors. The owner was helpful with an internet query on arrival and also made contact prior to the stay. Unfortunately, there were several issues with the lodge. The bed is a double rather than a king-size, which left limited space around it and was not ideal for accessibility. The bedding provided was oversized and did not fit the bed properly. The main door has a noticeable gap around it, allowing draughts into the property. The decking at the main entrance is raised and could be a trip hazard. The main shower runs very hot, while the en suite shower remains only lukewarm. The kitchen tap is loose and difficult to use, particularly for someone with limited mobility. There is limited storage space in the kitchen cupboards for guests’ own food and supplies. There are only two wine glasses provided, despite the lodge accommodating more guests.

"Ladybird Lodge is a great base for a holiday with the seaside, the Lake District, the Pennines and more close by."
The Lodge is comfortable and well equipped with excellent facilities. Heather sent a useful booklet before our arrival and communicating with her was easy. Before we arrived, we were slightly concerned about the proximity of the motorway, but were never even aware of it during out stay. We would definitely recommend Ladybird Lodge and would stay again.
Thank you Lyndsay. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Ladybird Lodge and explored the amazing countryside on the doorstep. Property Owner

"Ladybird Lodge is equipped with everything you may need for your stay, a home from home, we have found it to be very clean and tidy."
We enjoy the peace and quiet of the lodge and area, the long walks and days out. Large supermarkets conveniently just a few minutes away in the car. We would definitely recommend this to others and are going to book again this year.
Thank you Jackie. So glad you enjoyed your stay. We try and make sure that it's a welcoming and relaxing getaway. Hope to welcoming you all again. Property Owner

"Ladybird Lodge was lovely ."
We had a great few days ( apart from the weather) . We had a lovely relaxing time to set us up for a busy festive period . It was everything that we wanted , lovely surroundings, cosy atmosphere and comfort. The Lodge had all we needed, and more. It had the best information pack weve had , with detailed information on the Lodge and the surrounding area .( places to go , where to eat etc ) .This was sent before we got there so helped us a lot. We had a great time and just what we needed .
Thank you so much Mary It's lovely that our guests enjoy their stay with us. Property Owner

"Ladybird Lodge was exactly what we wanted in a holiday lodge."
it was in a beautiful location, close to other places of interest, great for dog walks. The lodge was a home from home, it was well maintained, and had everything you needed. We will definitely book again and would recommend it to others. Thank you.

"Lovely lodge, clean and well equipped."
Nice, well-maintained site.
-
"Quiet site."
You can drive from here to Blackpool or Lake District within an hour. Supermarkets 10 mins drive away so location is great. Ladybird Lodge is clean, comfy beds and sofas. Utensils are a plenty with everything you need including air fryer, rice cooker, steamer. Verandah has beautiful comfy rattan furniture with cushions. I give the hostess 10/10 for all she does to make the lodge homely

"Problem with tv but owners did resolve ."

"We had a lovely stay at the Ladybird Lodge, the sofas and outdoor seating are very comfortable and the site is very conveniently located for a quick drive into Carnforth, or even an hour or so drive to Grasmere/Keswick etc."
Decking is very secure for the dogs. There is a small park area just behind the lodge with a slide, swings etc so is perfect if you are travelling with children as you can see the park from the lodge! Also very friendly ducks that stop by throughout the day to say hello and ask for food - I would definitely stay again.

Overall was a pleasant stay

"We booked this lovely little lodge last minute for a couple days."
Inside is decorated and maintained well. Lots of essentials available and nice finishing touches. The site is lovely and overall very peaceful. Unfortunately for us we appeared to have had the nosiest neighbours in the park. Very loud and inconsiderate, the usual carnage when you’re next to a group where there is a hot tub. Clearly this is not the fault of the owners of Ladybird Lodge. We didn’t jet it spoil our weekend. The sun was shining and we enjoyed sitting in the comfortable patio furniture, sipping a few vinos and eating dinner. Only a few minor things needed to make it perfect. A fan being available is a definite as it was stifling hot even with every window in the lodge being open. The decking area and lodge could do with a power wash as areas a bit dirty. Cobwebs and dead beasties up above area around decking. I’m probably a bit ocd when comes to this. A Lot solar lights not working and we couldn’t use the brolly as the base it sits in not heavy enough so fell over. These are minor things that can be easily rectified. Lots cute ducks wandering around. We had to stop our car as we entered the park as a cute mummy duck and her ducklings were crossing the road in a lovely straight line

"We enjoyed staying in this lovely lodge."
Lodge was well maintained with all necessary equipment.
-
"First class lodge."
We had a power failure caused we think, by us using the toaster at the same time as the kettle. It needed the outside trip switch setting and also the inside one which is in the wardrobe of the main bedroom. Had to call the office to sort it out.
-
"Overall a good stay."
Afew maintenance issues with the outside pagola , seating in lounge and television signal needed . The equipment for use during the stay was great and the bits left eg coffee was very welcome. A good site and ate two nights in the restaurant. Neighbours very noisy early morning in their hot tub but other than that all went well.

"Family break with elderly parent so found second bedroom a little small ."
Thought that bedding needs an upgrade (sheets and quilt covers). Did not find hairdryer . Enjoyed the outside area for evening drink. Lovely clean site with restaurant and bar .
-
"This is a lovely place to stay, very clean, great beds, lovely sheets."
Couldn't fault the lodge, only few things missing even though had almost everything. No clock, couldn't find hair dryer and a full length mirror but that's me just being picky as I would defo stay again. The grounds r gorgeous and very picturesque well maintained, just lacking in things to do, no entertainment, no club house, luckily we got the weather otherwise would of had to just stay in. We went local town centre but again no much going on. The pub on site serves lovely food but if u don't book early, u lose out.
-
"Lovely caravan but needed a little love Ongoing work on site"
-
"Loved the property ideal location, very clean and comfortable."
Only downside was the tv in lounge area as the reception was poor. Will definitely book again in the future.
-
"The lodge was lovely, on a lovely park and we had best part of the week very sunny so made all the more enjoyable."
The WiFi was not very good. The tv ,do the think it is tuned in properly as we could not get some basic chanels. We took our amazon fire stick but even that would not work most of the time. The furniture in the sitting room. And Dinning room could be re arranged to make more room, I.e. the dinning table could be turned around to make more room. It looked like the carpet had not long been fitted but the large rug that goes in the living area was bunched up under the sofa and the large foot rest in the middle of the floor, which could be a tripping hazard and they were both too heavy for me and my husband to lift to try and straighten the rug out. The two sofas the main cushions are sagging we did turn them over quite a few times but it made no difference. The only other thing for me was there is too many drinking glasses, crockery, cutlery & small electrical kitchen appliances in the cupboards and drawers leaving no space to put Non fridge products, and there was no bread knife. .

"The owner needs high praise for the quality of the property."
I cannot fault it. I have never been anywhere that has/is truthfully as it describes. It is very clean, has everything you need utensil wise. Beds are very comfortable. Location is 1hour from Lake District, 45 mins from Blackpool. I booked this very last minute and they had it ready within 2 hours
-
"Very enjoyable stay."
Everything you could need was there. Home from home.
-
"Everything was as described - lovely lodge with great facilities."
It could have been a little cleaner but it wasn’t dirty as such.
