    However the fishing lakes look a bit tired and in need of renovation and management,there is no dipping tank for fishing equipment to prevent contamination of the fishing lakes.

  • "Myself and my husband really enjoyed our stay in your lovely property."

    It was very clean and very comfortable and homely and quite. We even had visitors daily ducks and her babies that we enjoyed feeding we called them the waltons family. We did however have a problem with one of the items, we contacted both owners how acted very quickly for us and got a replacement for us and also made sure we was kindley compensated for this. We will come back to this property again and we recommend this to any family for a lovely stay at this lovely holiday park and as we said the owners are very helpful and on hand straight away with any concerns or problems thank you very much hope to see you soon. Susan and Danny Bond. P.S we left your bed even though it's the best sleep we have ever had when ever we have been away your property tops all the others that we have stayed at. Thanks again.

  • "The static caravan was in excellent condition."

    It was clean from the moment we stepped in. All equipment was in its correct place and working. The site was modern and well maintained. The local facilities and clubhouse were also of a high standard and we also made use of Pine Lakes facilities and water activities. Would highly recommend this property and is also a good base for exploring The Lakes area.

  • "Lovely place to stay, couldn't fault the cleanliness and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it."

    Only fault was the gate on the decking was loose and needed replacing, you needed both hands to open it, bit difficult when holding bags or dogs .other than that it's great.

  • "Lakeside Haven is a very nice place to stay and use as a base for exploring the southern Lake District."

    The only downside was the size of the second bedroom, for an adult using it, was quite small. Although realistically I am not sure how it could be made bigger. Everything else about it was very comfortable and homely.

  • "This lodge is a lovely home from home."

    It was really clean and had everything you need for you break away. The lodge is in a great area with shops and nature walks on your doorstep. The only one thing I could fault was the Internet wasn't great and we couldn't watch the smart TV but you still have the live television available.

  • "Home from home is the best way to describe this holiday home."

    It has everything you need and more. The welcome basket was lovely. The area around is great for exploring and the site opposite has a pool and gym you can pay daily to use. Everywhere is dog friendly too. Key box is an easy check in and out. Well worth its money this little gem.

  • "Had a wonderful stay in Lakeside Haven its a lovely accommodation."

    Felt at home the minute I walked in. The view to the little lake is lovely and you're not really overlooked. Owner was quick to respond and resolve small issue which cropted up. It's in a perfect area for me as I like visiting Morecambe and Heysham, had I stayed a week I would of visited Windermere and probably Yorkshire Dales. Lakeside Haven is ideally placed for a lot of areas. I would definitely stay here again.

  • "We had a great few days staying at Lakeside Haven."

    It met all our needs - it was a central location to places we wished to visit, it was clean,spacious and quiet. It felt like a home from home with plenty of appliances/ kitchen utensils. Every cupboard seemed to be filled with thoughtful items from toys for children to dishwasher tablets etc It was a refreshing change not to fill the car with bedding/ towels before we left. Lodge was very comfy with nice decor. We enjoyed relaxing once back from our days out. We visited the Sandcastle, Ingleton, did canal walks and found out that Carnforth station was the set for Brief Encounter!

  • "I booked this Lodge for my mum whilst we had a kitchen fitted."

    She is disabled and registered blind and found it an amazing stay. She felt safe and the site is well-kept. She loved hearing the ducks walking around and enjoyed sitting on the decking when the sun came out. Charlie the Shih-tzu loved his stay too :-). The owners were very understanding when we needed to book an extra couple of days and Sykes were really helpful. We will be booking again in the future and it is a little gem in a fab location. 10/10

Capernwray 2.4 miles; Lake District National Park 11.6 miles.

Located just off the M6 and 20 miles south of the scenic Lake District, Carnforth is the sort of place that everyone has heard of, and many desire to discover this hidden gem. Situated at the north end of Morecambe Bay, north of the historic town of Lancaster, 15 miles from the winding lanes of the Yorkshire Dales and a hop and a skip from the Lake District, it is close to absolutely everywhere! Other local attractions include Greenlands Farm Village for crafts, local produce, a play area, café and a garden centre. The lovely area just north of Carnforth has tidal sands bordering the huge expanse of Morecambe Bay. It offers plenty of pleasant walks and opportunity to see local birds and wildlife in this fabulous area of Lancashire. Don't forget to visit the lovely old market town of Kirkby Lonsdale.
