"Lovely lodge."
Everything you would need for a home away from home. Great wifi (perfect for the kids and teenagers). The only issue would be the decking and stairs up to the lodge. It's fine when it's dry, but once wet, it's extremely slippery.

"Could have done with some normal sized glasses ."
There were no directions about laundry and rubbish and no visitors book. Otherwise all good. Well positioned for visiting places.
-
"We had a lovely relaxing break at Parker’s Place."
The lodge was well equipped and clean providing a comfy base for us and our dogs
-
"We had a lovely stay at Parkers Place."
Lots of space for all the family. Nice big kitchen with all the appliances. Spent some evenings sat out on the deck. Great location, we easily got to Blackpool for the day and also Windermere.
-
"We was not disappointed in any way with the lodge and it was in a nice position."
Our friends also enjoyed the stay and no reason not to return in the future.the only niggle we had was locking the front door as the hot weather seemed to have warped the door ,but that’s just one of those things.having Netflix and a good internet was a bonus.internet connection as lots of us know is sometimes a bit of a pain.

"This was a nice lodge to stay in."
The beds were comfortable and generally everything was clean. What was a bit of an issue was the lack of good sized pans to be able to cook. Bigger pans would have helped. Also the fridge door was broken, storing large bottles of milk was a challenge. However very quiet site, well kept and managed well.

"This was our 2nd choice of lodge as the first was cancelled."
We got sent this lodge with a number of photos showing the lodge on the lakeside, unfortunately it wasn’t, the reason we selected this lodge was because we were led to believe it was on the lakeside. The external of the lodge was filthy, the windows needed cleaning and the cobwebs could have been removed. The interior of the lodge was ‘tired’, the carpet was ripped and the suite was stained and stinking. The kitchen utensils were sub standard, pans were filthy and unusable. The bedding was not fit for purpose and the mattress needs changing, springs were coming through. The whole place lacked any TLC for the price we paid we expected a higher standard, everything was done on the cheap. For the experience we’ve had with Parkers Place we will not be using Sykes again, it’s obvious that there aren’t any checks on the lettings.

"Had an amazing stay at Parkers Place."
The lodge was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a high chair for our youngest. Lots of space and storage which was brilliant for our three kids. Very clean on arrival and very child friendly. Great to have a parking spot right outside the lodge for unpacking the car. The owner introduced himself and was very friendly, checking everything was OK and if we had everything we needed. Also suggested some great local days out. The location is stunning with a lake on the site as well as close to some lovely areas. Really enjoyed our stay.

"The decking area outside needs a deep clean."
The build up of moss has made it extremely slippery- my husband actually fell over ( this was before any frost or ice). It is extremely dangerous. Please sort this out or somebody could be seriously injured. Other than this the lodge itself was clean and comfortable.

"Would have helped if we had known before our stay about the need to access the site with the key fob."
Reception didn’t tell us and we were stuck at the barrier with other cars behind us. It would also help to have a small welcome pack to advise on where to put the rubbish bags when full, and where to find instruction manuals for equipment. Really liked the property, and its suitability for dogs, and will happily recommend to anyone. Thanks!

"The lodge is very spacious it has three generous sized bedrooms and found the beds comfortable and clean ."
The living and dining area is a very relaxing area after a day out at the lakes which we also found comfortable but was lacking some TLC . The windows had not been cleaned for some time with children's hand marks quite visible all over from previous occupants however the cleaners missed this i will never know. The outside was also in need of a good clean lots of cobwebs hanging from the lights, outside furniture had seen better days and could do with replacing. However apart from the things I've mentioned I would be happy to make a return visit .

"We have been coming to this site for the last 6-7 years and have stayed in many different lodges."
This lodge is beautifully laid out and extremely clean. Perfect size for a family of 5-6. Nice big kitchen and lounge/dining area. The beds were the comfiest that I've ever experienced at this site. Soft but very supportive. My only gripe would be that the decking needs a quick blast with a power washer as it was a bit slippery when it rained. But this is a small complaint and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We would recommend

"We stayed at Parkers Place for a second time in March 2024, having stayed the previous year."
Again, we found the lodge to be very spacious and comfortable. We have been visiting this site for 15+ years and Parkers Place is one of the best lodges we've stayed in. I do feel though that the lodge needs a little TLC since our last visit. The patio area was extremely slippy. The bottle holder in the fridge had been removed (I assume broken at some point). A few of the kitchen drawers seem to fall off there runners if you pulled them out fully. The mattresses were a little too soft but this is a personal preference. These are all very minor things but could help to improve a stay at Parker's Place. The site is very quiet, safe and clean. I would definitely recommend the beauty salon and gym/pool. I would have no hesitation in booking again and plan to do so. Many thanks for letting us use your lovely lodge.

"Surprised our Grandad for his 90th birthday week, he was over the moon with the lodge and the location."
He was thrilled with his walk in wardrobe as he'd never seen one before! Made some lovely memories over the week and he didn't want to leave! The lodge is lovely, clean, spacious and everything you need for that home from home feel. We met the owner whilst setting up for grandads 90th Birthday party (we asked in advance for permission just to be on the safe side) , mentioned a few issues with a couple of the lights that weren't working and he said someone would come and sort them, unfortunately it wasn't sorted during my grandads stay but it was nothing that spoilt his time in the lodge. Would recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a nice little get away. The week was everything we wanted it to be and more! Thank you!
-
"It's a lovely lodge with absolutely everything you need."
The welcome gift was a really nice touch. The site however is a really nice clean place with onside swimming pool and gym (charges do apply) there is also a restaurant onsite with fish and chips for £18 per person. We took our 2 cocker spaniels with us and the site had nowhere to let them run and exercise which was disappointing for them.

"We had a really great time at Parker’s Place."
The lodge was itself was great, it was warm and comfortable. The welcoming gifts were lovely. It had everything we needed plus more. It was a great base for touring the local areas and spending the day on site. The on site bar was very welcoming especially with our dog. The only ‘faults’ we found were with the site itself and not of the lodge.
-
"We spent a week here and the lodge was clean spacious and home from home, It was just perfect."
We met the host who was extremely welcoming with bottles of wine and dog treats. I would recommend this to anyone
-

"The property at Parkers Place was everything we expected and more."
A Beautiful location that was well maintained, and made for a very comfortable stay. Parker’s Place is a new and well kept Lodge and was an experience that we would repeat in a heartbeat for a family holiday. We had an excellent stay and have already recommended it to our friends. Only issues we found was the electric fire did not work and the hoover was not the best, but to be honest that is being very picky as you would need to be to find fault with this beautiful lodge. Hope to see you again soon.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.Hope to see you again Property Owner

"Beautiful villa in a scenic location."
Lovely welcoming gift from the owners, including treats for our dog. We found the location ideal to visit across the lake distract and Morecambe & Lancaster. Would highly recommend. Thank you
-
"Very nice lodge could do better hoover as carpet was covered in dog hairs."
Need more trays for cooking and clothes airer but to be fair we spoke to owner and he said he was going sort this. Overall lovely comfortable lodge and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks you for the welcome gift. Would definitely recommend
-
"Lovely property and the site was really nice to"
-
"We had a fantastic stay at Parkers Place, great location for lots of days out."
The lodge was spotless. Would benefit from clothes Airer and some information on local areas and shops etc. Also information on the leisure centre as I thought we would get the discounted rate but as it was a private booking this was not the case so can turn out rather expensive for a family.

"Home from home couldn’t wish for anything better."
Lovely Lodge spotlessly clean, warm and very cosy. A lovely gesture by the owner when he called round to welcome us. We had a very nice stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Thank you for your lovely review, hope to see you again. Property Owner

"I would definitely recommend Parker's Place as it is home from home and the best lodge I have stayed in on this site."
I enjoyed using the swimming pool and spa treatments. I will be booking Parker's Place again in the future. Thank you for allowing us to use your lodge to celebrate my 60th birthday. Our dog Boo enjoyed it too!

"Amazing stay, the lodge was lovely and homely and plenty enough room for us 6 adults and our child."
Heating was lovely and warm too which was needed in the cold weather! Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

"The lodge was excellent, it looked brand new & was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed."
The WiFi worked fine & was very quick & the Bluetooth music system was great. The welcome gifts & card were a nice surprise, thank you. The food in the bar/restaurant on the park was also really good.

"We generally enjoyed our stay."
Lodge is nice but not very clean. Dog hair covered the carpet. We had taken several videos and ended up not wearing any socks or not placing anything on the carpet. The owner did send the cleaner back. She vacuumed the living room only but it was not a vacuum for pet hair and made zero difference. We also were unable to connect to the internet for the entire stay. We were told that we were connected - yes we agree that the tv was connected but not any of our personal tech. Again video to evidence we were using the correct passcodes but unable to connect. Sykes does not accept video evidence?? Sykes pretty much indifferent as the issue was allegedly between the owner for whom we had no contact information and us. The owner was away for a few days and on return did leave a complimentary gift which was nice but honestly we would have preferred clean carpets - as dog hair was on the sofa, cushions, and bed linen. I think obviously when changing the beds the quilts are placed on the floor?? My guess. Internet access (bar the tv) would have been nice.
-
"The lodge was beautiful, it's was very clean and well kept."
The owners left gifts for us and also dog treats. We will definitely recommend to family and friends. Had a fantastic week.
-
"Lovely holiday home with all modern touches, very clean and a lovely little surprise welcome gift!"
-
"It would be great to have a portable / table fan at the premises for the hot summer days."
. we had to go out and buy a fan that just becomes an added something to carry back home. The property is quite set back from the lake and we thought we would have access or be at least in viewing distance which was not the case. Other than that the property was extremely well turned out and very comfortable..

"Lodge as it is brand new on this site."
The lodge will sleep six but was booked for just the two of us. Everything is brand new within the lodge. The first night we arrived late due to horrid traffic conditions on the trip from Essex. As we arrived late we decided to have a meal at the bar attached to reception after quickly unloading the car. I ordered Fish and chips and i must say the meal was also fantastic best F&Cs i have tasted in a long while. Steve the owner dropped in Sunday night to check we had settled in all ok and told us some good places to visit locally. We also had some wine Beer and choco's left for us on arrival a lovely touch from the owners. Thank you Steve and Liz for allowing us to rent such a lovely lodge and enjoy our 5 night stay in the Lake district
