What guests are saying
On arrival had to contact with the phone number provided.
There wasn't anywhere to hang your clothes. The lady said there should be, we showed her and she provided a portable rail. There isn't any instructions for kitchen appliances, nowhere to hang your coats after going out. You have to pay for WiFi which isn't stated on the description of what's available. No jug for measuring, the cutlery is flimsy, bends when using. The property is 4 bedrooms yet there was only 1 downstairs bedroom which had one of the portable rails for clothes, until we contacted them and got another one upstairs. There was only 3 of us, but I don't know how people would manage if it was to capacity.Sorry Sykes won't be returning let down with this property.
Cosy lodge.
Friendly staff. The couple things that let this place down are it states there is Wifi. There is but you have to buy a sim card and top it up. It should state this in the listing as i would of have chosen somewhere else to go. Or if the stay was £30 more for example I would have just paid it without any question. The other issue is when the weather is hot you cannot adjust any of the ensuite shower temperatures so i personally struggled having showers as they was to hot. I would definetly return if the above issues was not present.
Lack of storage space for clothes in the bedrooms so had to just keep everything in luggage.
The accommodation was pleasant otherwise. Quiet area, not many guests in the middle of August. Playing area for kids was worn and couple of swings were not secure to the ground so were unsafe to swing on. Has potential to be more inviting for kids if the effort was made.
