A Lincolnshire cottage holiday offers something for every age. This is a county with space, with never-ending skies and rich agricultural plains. Add the hills of the Wolds, the limestone uplands and the timeless waterscapes of the Fens, not to mention coastal reserves, Blue Flag beaches and wildlife sanctuaries, and there's no doubt you'll want to get out and about and explore.
And there are so many ways to do it - walking, cycling, climbing, boating, riding, golfing, fishing - even skydiving!
The coast offers all kinds of surprises, whether you prefer the non-stop entertainment and candyfloss of the 'Fun Coast' at busy resorts like Skegness and Cleethorpes, or the more tranquil surroundings of the 'Rural Coast'. Here you can sample the quieter charms of Sutton-on-Sea, Chapel St. Leonards and Anderby Creek, where you'll find the most beautiful beach. Other coastal gems to look out for include Moggs Eye and Saltfleetby.
Into wildlife? There are bird and nature walks along the Humber Estuary from Barton-on-Humber, while Gibraltar Point is a globally recognised nature reserve and home to an array of birdlife. For grey seals, head to Donna Nook.
Head inland to a wealth of other attractions. Ones not-to-be-missed include Ellys Manor House, Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral, the Castles of Tattershall and Belvoir, as well as Belton House and Burghley House - the latter showcasing a line-up of annual events including the famous Burghley Horse Trials.
And don't forget to visit the city of Lincoln, with its attractive cobbled streets and medieval architecture.
Whatever you do, wherever you go, we're sure you'll enjoy a Lincolnshire cottage holiday!
