  • "Absolutely loved our stay at The Barns."

    What a fantastic holiday home. We stayed for a week in October and our holiday was helped by having perfect weather. Not a single drop of rain the whole week. The Barns is a wonderful base to explore this part of Wales. Wether it's beach, forest, waterfall or moorland walks, all are situated on your doorstep. Some good ones straight from your door without having to use the car. My kids loved the concept of an upside-down house. Smart tv in every room was a big plus and comfy beds ensured a good night's sleep. The hot tub was very welcome every evening to sooth our aching limbs from all the walking! I can highly recommend this accommodation for a lovely Welsh holiday.

  • "Great location , hot tub fabulous and maintained the only thing that let it down was the cleanliness of the property had to go to the office for the floors to be cleaned."

    They did apologise and sent a cleaner round to sort and mop the floors, After this we cleaned the stairs and hoovered them due to being full of dust and dog hairs ( these hadn’t been done ). Bathroom !!! Needed a make over definitely not a 4.9 rating . Had to hunt for the remote control for tv in bedroom, found at the back of Chester drawers together with months of dust. Stayed for 2 weeks no change of towels or bedding for second week (received this service in other properties we have stayed in ) Went and bought washing powder to clean our own but then having to try and dry them because there isn’t an electric dryer or an outside clothes line . Just an indoor maiden.

  • "The cottage is lovely… we had a wonderful stay and overall the cleanliness of the property is good."

    However, there is a mould issue in the bathroom and the bedroom directly next to the bathroom smelt of mould. All the drawers are very flimsy and poor quality making me reserved to use them. There is limited crockery and cutlery so we used the dishwasher constantly- not an issue but a few more plates etc would help. We loved the holiday and would definitely come back but a little TLC would be advised.

  • "We had a wonderful stay the location was perfect, a short walking distance to the sea and we travelled by train to Barmouth which was only 10 minutes away."

    The staff were helpful and friendly. I was slightly worried after reading some of the reviews but our experience was as follows, the beds were comfy slept really well. Extractor fans do work, there is a gate on the property, it is not possible for people to see you in the shower from outside. We loved the living upside down, the pool table and hot tub were great! Other comments not criticisms is that there is not a bbq so the listing needs to be updated and a few more plates and a new frying pan would be good. We were spoilt with the weather, a beautiful place we would love to return.

  • "Beautiful cottage."

    Really enjoyed our stay. We love Barmouth. A few negatives, beds are very uncomfortable, pillows are also poor. Also we found only 1 bathroom for six adults was a bit of a struggle in a morning getting ready, especially with no ventilation, extractor fan not working during our stay. Also beware anyone walking past the cottage can look directly into the bathroom right into the shower

  • "The Barn itself is very nice the hottub is great the only negative is the front entrance isn’t very private no gate closing it off so people walking past can see you if your in the hottub or sitting outside well equipped kitchen comfortable sofa very nice Big letdown on the beds…."

    . very uncomfortable felt the springs probably the most uncomfortable I’ve experienced such a shame pillows were flimsy some investment needs to be made on mattresses for that reason we wouldn’t return

  • "The property was spacious."

    We are a family of six adults and we never felt as though we were on top of each other. We require liked the open plan design upstairs and of course the pool table was a big hit. The barn was well equipped and everything was clean, fresh and comfortable. Thoughtful welcome gift of milk, butter, bread and cake. The only thing that would have been helpful is a larger fridge to accommodate the size of the property and more than 6 of each cutlery and crockery item. We loved our stay in the Barn.

  • "The Barn was a great property to stay, everything we needed."

    The Toaster would not work so made a phone call to the manager and a replacement was delivered within 30 min, many thanks. The noise from the camp sites was ZERO. Would return for another holiday no problem. Thanks again Pete from Somerset

  • "Beautiful place."

    The satnav took us straight there. There was a slight issue with the freezer and fridge ( they were switched off at the plug , but no welcome pack or guide to inform us of this ). We called the main reception in 5 minutes we had a knock at the door and the issue was fixed. Very nice , privacy shades on the hot tub are really handy. All the rooms were beautifully made up and the linens were pristine. For a house sleeps six more utensils/crockery is needed , otherwise brilliant. Big 4K TV in living room. Fab TV in bedrooms , all smart for streaming good picture otherwise. Fab walk to beach , lovely little shop en route to beach. Great for the pooch. Pool table nice touch. Very handy. Beautifully decorated. Would return and recommend. Just wished wed explored more.

  • "Lovely property, with extras like hot tub and pool table which were very welcome as the weather was mixed."

    The location to the beach and train station was ideal. Things that could be improved are, more plates and cutlery as only 6 items of each. There were only 3 of the smaller plates. No egg cups. Also the lock on the outer gate is broken. There were no instructions in the welcome pack to say what to do with recycling, what to do with bedding/towels when we left, no list of useful phone numbers which we normally see in other properties we have stayed in. In fact the welcome pack only contained details of the caravan site the barn was situated on. None of the above detracted from a nice holiday.

  • "We had a lovely stay here in between Christmas and New Year."

    The property is very spacious and it has everything you need. We thought the pool table was a great touch and we loved the hot tub. WiFi is excellent and access to Netflix and Prime was great. We visited during a quiet period but I can imagine privacy being an issue at busier times. When we weren’t in the hot tub we were strolling on the beach with the dog, which is just a few minutes walk. We discovered the on-site shop and arcades were open, which we were led to believe would be closed at this time of year so that was handy. We had a really lovely time and would love to come back.

The Barn by Lyons is a beautiful, detached barn conversion resting on the Lyons Tyddyn Goronwy Holiday Park in Tal-Y-Bont, Gwynedd.

Enjoying access to the park facilities, this inviting barn conversion serves as a wonderful base for a family looking to holiday in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

Internally, the property enjoys a reverse-level layout with the bedrooms downstairs and the living space upstairs.

Step inside to the entrance hallway with double height ceiling, open oak staircase and lots of glazing.

Find the bedrooms on this level, each with wall-mounted Smart TVs and ample storage space, arranged with a master king-size with zip/link beds, a double and a twin, along with a bathroom where you can freshen up for the day.

Whisk away upstairs and discover the spacious living area, boasting high ceilings, exposed A-frame beams, and an inviting sitting area, complete with two sofas arranged in front of a Smart TV, complete with an electric woodburning effect stove.
