  • "Dukes Meadow was the perfect home for our family vacation."

We were coming from the United States and had 10 people staying in this beautiful home, ranging in age from 30 to 91. Dukes Meadow has BEAUTIFUL light coming in the windows all day. The linens on all the beds were fluffy, clean and fresh. A real pleasure to get into after a busy day. The 4 bathrooms and 1 half bath were all in new condition, clean with nice towels. The living room was perfect for sitting all together drinking wine, playing games and sharing family stories. In warmer weather the French doors would have been open going into the back yard. The Kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed to cook or get some wonderful English Fish and Chips, Indian curry take out, or serve fancy desserts after a late night out. This was a very special family time for our, celebrating a wedding in Newcastle and this home added joy to our celebrations. The host was wonderful in answering all our questions. You can tell the host takes pride in their home. I thank them for sharing it with us. Our stay was WONDERFUL.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Dukes Meadow!"

The house was spotlessly clean and welcoming, with comfy beds and generous bathrooms. We couldn’t fault anything about it, and particularly loved the plush carpets upstairs and in the sitting room. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and it felt like a real luxury hotel experience. The beach at Whitley Bay is just a five minute drive away, and has a beautiful expanse of white sand to go for long beach walks. We loved coming back to the house after a day exploring and curling up on the sofa with Netflix and hot chocolate — such a nice touch — thank you!

Within easy reach of the Northeast coastline offering a large, enclosed garden, this pet-friendly dwelling makes a superb base for a family of ten.

Be greeted by off-road parking before stepping inside to the entrance hallway; here you can store your shoes and hang your coats ready to explore the Northumberland countryside.

The young ones will be thrilled with the games room, where they can unwind on bean bags and make use of the great selection of DVDs and games to keep themselves entertained.

Moving through the property, discover the well-appointed kitchen, hosting Quartz worktops and an electric oven and SMEG gas hob to rustle up tasty dishes, which can be enjoyed at the dining table.

There is also a utility room with butlers sink, washing machine and tumble dryer which leads into the garage to store beach equipment, wet suits (surf boards and bikes).

When the sun is shining, savour a glass of wine on the outdoor furniture as your pooch stretches their legs; be sure to make use of the barbecue for tasty treats.

As the evening cools, Bi-fold doors lead into the sitting room, kick back on the sofa and select a family favourite on Netflix.

When eyes grow tired, venture upstairs and indulge in a bubble bath in the sleek bathroom or rinse off in an en-suite shower room.

There are five tastefully furnished bedrooms to choose from, choose between a top floor master bedroom with king-size bed and private bathroom and living space, a king-size with an en-suite, a regular king-size, a bunk bedroom or a double with an en-suite.

Awaken with a creamy coffee, courtesy of the coffee maker and tuck-into some breakfast; a dishwasher offers an easy clean up afterwards.
