"Once again we were very pleased with Lyndhurst and its facilities."
The storage heaters were good and warmed the rooms perfectly. We did wonder if someone had altered the timing on the heater in the lounge as it was coming on at times when we were out in the day and not on in the evening. We didn't touch the controls, as instructed, and fortunately we were warm enough in the evening to do without it. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

"We enjoyed the relaxed village and environs and appreciated the cosy period cottage which was tastefully furnished , clean and very well appointed."
I note the Sykes advert referred to 'shops' plural but we could only find one shop, as such, in Beadnell itself and it was up for sale. Plenty of variety for eating places however and most were easily walked. Overall we would recommend Lyndhust Cottage as a great holiday property and base for exploring the area.
-
"A well equipped cottage that is perfectly situated."
It is looking tired and dated in some areas but is clean, quiet and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a relaxing week and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. I hope we are able to stay here again.
-
"LOVELY COTTAGE WELL SITUATED FOR TOURING - EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR A NICE, QUIET AND COSY BREAK - MANY THANKS."
-
"Good Location, cottage facilities adequate for our needs and we had a great week in Northumberland"
-
"Our 11th stay at this lovely cottage and it was just as good as always."
We’ve never been in Autumn before but there were still lots of things to do and the cottage was a warm and cosy base to come home to.
-
"We have just returned from a seven night stay and had an absolutely fantastic time."
The cottage offered our family of four everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, well presented and comfortable. The garden was a real hit with our two young children and whilst it is clearly very well maintained and looked after it was still perfect for children to play in. The cottage has a great location, not only in Beadnell, but in Northumberland as a whole - perfect for lots of exploring. Thank you for having us, we hope to be back again one day.

"The cottage is well situated, well appointed and well maintained."
Beadnell is a lovely village and the proximity to other tourist destinations is excellent. The bus service is brilliant and if you have a bus pass, all the better! The cottage is ideal for a family holiday and we highly recommend it!
-
"We really enjoyed our stay here."
We really love Beadnell and this was a nice sized cottage with a good, secure garden for our children to play. The wonderful beach is walking distance across the fields and great places nearby too. Conservatory does get a bit hot on a sunny day but is also a great place to relax of an evening.
-
"Lovely comfortable holiday home in a great location."
-
"A very enjoyable stay in this clean, comfortable cottage."
Really nice to have a garden and plenty of space around the cottage. We found the cottage and the charming village of Beadnell an ideal location for visiting the the area.
-
"Our 10th stay in this lovely cottage and already booked to return later in the year."
It’s a brilliant base for a family holiday. High traffic areas very clean however would benefit from a deep clean in wider areas and of the bedding. Deep dust in bedroom lampshades, cobwebs in some areas and stains on mattress protectors and quilts (only discovered as guests have to strip the beds on departure). Giving this as constructive feedback as we know the owners have high standards.

"We found Lyndhurst Cottage a really comfortable place to be in."
. It had everything we could need. The beds are comfortable as is the seating in the lounge, and it is all clean and tastefully decorated.. The garden is nicely laid out with a variety of seating and it was a pleasure to see plenty of birdlife. We found it ideally placed to explore north Anglesey though with the quiet A55 dual carriageway most places are within easy reach. We will be happy to stay there again.

"Lovely clean well equipped cottage."
Great position; 3 good restaurants within easy walking distance. Great for my husband who has painful feet! Village shop described as small but it is quite large with a wide range of products. Lovely Beadnell beach 5 minute walk away.
-
"Stayed in Beadnell on several occasions and Lyndhurst cottage has been the best property that suits our family's needs."
Great indoor space where everyone can have their own space if needed and the garden with secure gates was great for eating outside and for the kids to play out without any worries. Only 2 minutes from the park, pub, 5 minutes from Beadnell beach near the local shop and 10 minutes to Beadnell Bay. Only recommendation would be an upgrade on the TV.

"The property and area were lovely and the description of the area was great (the pub really was 2 mins away!"
) and we would definitely return at a sunnier time of the year. The downside was the long list of things we had to do, bring our own towels, strip all the beds etc etc and quite frustratingly having to leave by 9.30 am so we didn't overlap with the cleaners, knowing the next people can't check in until 3 pm, we were only there for two nights so paid for considerably less than 48 hours. I understand the Covid precautions but there's a fine line between genuine precautions and just saving money, a pillow case costs less to wash and dry than a towel for instance. For what it's worth this is a 'qualified' opinion as we have a letting property as well, but all this is meant to be constructive criticism, you have a lovely property in a lovely area.
Thank you for comments which I have duly noted. The problem with exit and entry times is that Northumberland is so busy now that the cleaning companies have so many houses to clean and it is impossible to tie them down to exact cleaning schedules. If houses are left in a poor state it throws their schedule out. The timings are based on normal hotel access so everyone can get access at a fair time. Property Owner

"Had a great stay."
Great location and perfect cottage for a family of 4. Would love to come back soon.
-
"Ideally placed for exploring the area."
Clean, well equipped cottage and pet free. Well maintained garden with garden furniture if the weather is good enough to sit outside. Two good restaurants within walking distance of the cottage. A large car might have difficulty parking in the driveway at the side of the cottage as the entrance might be a bit tight.
-
"Well resourced and homely cottage."
Fabulous.
-
"Lyndhurst cottage is an exceptionally good property, especially for only two people staying."
Inside it really did feel like a family home the way it was presented and furnished not like many holiday houses which tend to be utilitarian in their furnishings. The garden was also a joy in the way it was planted, not just being put down to grass. Beadnell is a quite seaside village within easy reach of the more touristy locations but far enough away to be quietly relaxing although this might change it the near future with apparent amount of house building that is currently taking place. Maybe we visited just in time!

"Wonderful cottage in a great location."
-
"Good accommodation in a great location with lovely private garden."
Well placed for exploring all the attractions of Northumberland. We had a great time.
-
"Wonderful place to stay."
Great having two bathrooms. Lots of living space. Kitchen updated since photos taken.
-
"Fantastic cottage!"
Had everything you could need and more! 5 minutes walk to the beach and the local shop in one direction, and 5 minutes walk to a children's playground and 2 lovely pubs / restaurants in the other direction. Cottage was spotlessly clean, and had no problems with anything! Would highly recommend!
-
"Beadnell is a beautiful location and the flat was very comfortable, clean and well equipped."
-
"The cottage was comfortable and well equipped although the stove top took a little time to get used to."
The conservatory is a benefit and on site parking a boon. Great village to stay in for Northumbrian coastal holidaying. Close to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne and Farne Islands. Weather was good which made for an enjoyable time. Alnwick Castle and Gardens were lovely and a meal at the Treehouse restaurant there was the icing on the cake.
-
"Great location for exploring the coastline, castles and wildlife."
Attractive garden and warm sun room to relax in.
-
"Another great holiday in this lovely cottage; perfectly located to explore the area."
When we had an issue at the property, the owner visited the same day.
-
"This house was perfect for two small children as there is a large, enclosed garden and it is only 300m to the beach."
-
"We had an enjoyable stay at Lyndhurst"
-
"The cottage exceeded our expectations."
.It was really comfortable, very spacious and even in March very warm and cosy. Well located ,just a walk from the beach and the pub!We had a lovely relaxing week and would stay again. The owner has made it a home from home even down to the lovely vase of daffodils which were waiting for us.
-
"Great location."
Bath towels included would have been better than having to take our own as only hand towels provided but this did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.
-
"The friendliness of the local people in Beadnell particularly St Ebb's church."
Beadnell is clearly a very well organised community with lots of activities for the locals to participate a true village atmosphere but where everyone is welcomed. On walks around the village EVERYONE would great you with a genuine "Good Morning"
-
"Lyndhurst cottage was a quiet, well equipped holiday home."
Very close to a beautiful peaceful beach, also only a short walk to the local shop. The owners had provided us with a lovely welcome pack and even a beautiful bunch of roses.Overall a great place to relax and unwind. A big thank you to the owners and to Sykes for the booking process. Mr &Mrs Buck.Lincolnshire.

"Wonderful location, the cottage was close to the local pub serving nice evening meals and also nearby were the shop, cafe, the beach and harbour and the bus stops."
The garden was pleasant and the off road parking adequate. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
-
"Our cottage was in the county of Northumberland at a small town of beaden on the coast."
In all our years of holidays in England we have never found anywhere as clean as Northumberland
-
"Lyndhurst is a beautiful, and extremely comfortable, cottage with a lovely conservatory and 2 well fitted bathrooms."
There is a very pretty garden to relax in and while we were staying there most evenings at dusk there were nightingales singing nearby which was lovely to hear. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the beach, harbour, shop and pub and only a few minutes drive from Seahouses and Bamburgh and about 12 miles from Alnwick Casfle and Gardens so it is in a very good location for visiting local attractions. We hadn't stayed at the cottage before but hope to again the future.
-
"100% recommend you and this cottage to all"

"The cottage was lovely with everything we needed plus extra little touches."

"Good holiday, thanks."
Could you please pass on the to the owner that the newel cap on the short flight of stairs in the back bed room is loose. Also, the front left ring on the hob does not function.
-

About the location
BEADNELL
Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.
This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
