First the epic Cliffs of Moher, which plummet down into the choppy ocean - an extraordinary nesting site and fantastic spot for birdwatching. Next The Burren where a desolate, lunar-like landscape stretches before you, rich in history and wildlife. Ireland's longest river, the Shannon, also passes through and there are some amazing beaches like Spanish Point and Lahinch attracting surf dudes from near and far.
