Fancy a jig? County Clare is big on music, song and dance, a place brimming with talented local artists bringing the many delightful villages and towns alive. It's also big on scenic delights, with a dazzling mix of Atlantic-pounded coast and dramatic, windswept countryside.

Check out your Clare holiday cottage then take a journey on the wild side. First the epic Cliffs of Moher, which plummet down into the choppy ocean - an extraordinary nesting site and fantastic spot for birdwatching. Next The Burren where a desolate, lunar-like landscape stretches before you, rich in history and wildlife. Ireland's longest river, the Shannon, also passes through and there are some amazing beaches like Spanish Point and Lahinch attracting surf dudes from near and far.

In fact, with a Clare holiday home in Ireland as your base, there are stacks of outdoor pursuits to choose from. Hike the Burren Way. Hire a bike and cycle around Lough Derg.
