From its location on the edge of one of the UK’s most-popular national parks, Whitbarrow Holiday Village offers easy access to many of the Lake District’s highlights.
Just a short drive west is Keswick, a lively market town on the shores of Derwentwater. It’s a hub for outdoor activities, with boat trips, walking trails, and attractions like the Derwent Pencil Museum and Castlerigg Stone Circle.
A short drive in the other direction will bring you to Ullswater, often described as England’s most beautiful lake. Here you can enjoy a cruise on the famous Ullswater Steamers, hike the Aira Force waterfalls, or simply relax by the shoreline.
For something a little further afield, head south to Penrith, a historic town with a castle, traditional markets and plenty of shops, cafés and pubs to discover.
