Places to Visit near Whitbarrow Village
From its location on the edge of one of the UK’s most-popular national parks, Whitbarrow Holiday Village offers easy access to many of the Lake District’s highlights.
Just a short drive west is Keswick, a lively market town on the shores of Derwentwater. It’s a hub for outdoor activities, with boat trips, walking trails, and attractions like the Derwent Pencil Museum and Castlerigg Stone Circle.
A short drive in the other direction will bring you to Ullswater, often described as England’s most beautiful lake. Here you can enjoy a cruise on the famous Ullswater Steamers, hike the Aira Force waterfalls, or simply relax by the shoreline.
For something a little further afield, head south to Penrith, a historic town with a castle, traditional markets and plenty of shops, cafés and pubs to discover. You’re also with easy reach of iconic attractions including the Dalemain Mansion and Historic Gardens and Lowther Castle and Gardens, both offering fun-filled day’s out!
