The property

Fochabers 4.5 miles.

Nestled in a stunning beachfront location in the heart of the quiet hamlet of Spey Bay near Fochabers, Moray is The Mouries.

This wonderful, dog-friendly, detached holiday home benefits from a charming interior completed by three well-appointed bedrooms, off-road parking, and an enclosed rear garden as well as an idyllic setting paces away from the beach; the perfect choice for families or friends looking to explore the wonders of Scotland.

Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and head straight into the welcoming sitting room where you can unwind on the plush corner sofa and warm your feet by the woodburning stove.

Later, head into the fully-equipped kitchen to help prepare dinner before dining together in the living/dining room; if the sun is shining why not dine alfresco in the rear garden where you can breathe in the sea air and raise a toast to your retreat.

When the sun dips behind the horizon head back inside to wash off the day in the bathroom before choosing between three bedrooms to catch up on your sleep; there is a ground-floor double and upstairs two family rooms both fitted with a double and single bed.

During the day take a short walk from the property over the sand dunes to reach the beach Spey Bay Beach where you can roam its sandy shores while admiring the breath-taking vistas across the sea, here you can also discover the Scottish Dolphin Centre, a conservation and observation hub offering unique opportunities to spot dolphins and whales in the wild, and Spey Bay Golf Club and clubhouse where you are welcome to try out a game.

Find local amenities in the nearby village of Fochabers where you can stock up on your self-catering essentials at local stores or enjoy a well-earned break from the kitchen at The Gordon Arms Hotel.

Follow the coast around to Lossiemouth where you can immerse yourself in the area's history at the Lossiemouth Fisheries and community museum before jumping on a boat for a trip out on the open water; a truly exceptional way to experience the unbeatable views and tranquillity the area offers.

All this and more awaits at The Mouries.

About the location

FOCHABERS

Elgin 9 miles.

The highly attractive village of Fochabers is situated to the east of the River Spey. A key point along the Speyside Way (long distance path from Buckie to Aviemore), visitors stopping off can marvel at the fine selection of architecture which adorns the village. The Georgian church on the south side of the square is especially striking, complete with its clock-tower dated 1798. In the nearby village of Mosstodloch is Baxters food processing factory, a family-run company that has been operating in the area since 1868. Dolphins can often be seen playing at sea along this stretch of Scottish coastline, and ospreys can be found fishing for food for their young who nest in the tall pine trees. A superb location for enjoying the great outdoors!
