  • "We had high hopes for a peaceful Monday to Friday break, but the apartment block turned out to be right next door to RAF Valley who apparently practice their manoeuvres Monday to friday."

All day. The 'high street' had no shops to browse, just one or two cafes. It seems to be more a place for families with small children and dogs..and there were lots of dogs. The accommodation itself was really nice...spotlessly clean and fully equipped. However the large sofa has seen better days and was very low and saggy to sit on...very uncomfortable for a couple in our early 70s, we struggled! This had been noted by several previous guests judging by the comments in a guest book there, as well as the broken toilet seat, but I'm guessing the owner is reluctant to replace the sofa because the apartment is mostly used by families with dogs & children. Why the broken toilet seat hasn't been addressed we don't know. Anglesey itself is lovely but our first visit has left us feeling a bit disappointed. We should have looked more deeply into where the town is situated re RAF Valley, and found out how many shops and pubs there are. Unless you're happy just sitting on the beach all day or walking dogs for miles, there wasn't much else to do. My daughter owns a dog and is always looking for accommodation that accepts dogs, but even she said they like to see a town with shops and pubs etc, and not just nothing! Some of the ads don't give the complete picture.

  • "Lovely clean apartment in very pretty location."

It’s was our first visit to Anglesey so would have benefited from a tourist information pack and map to help us make the most of our stay. Also information on dog friendly beaches would be good. The accommodation was adequate. Unfortunately visiting with my elderly mother we found the settees very low and she struggled to get comfortable. The shower in the bathroom is excellent The small enclosed patio area was accessed through the bedroom and the door very hard to unlock so we didn’t use it. Some coat hooks near the door would be useful. We also found that only 3 of the rings on the gas hob worked. But having said all that we enjoyed our short stay and will definitely visit Anglesey again but if we come again with a dog would look for a property with a more suitable enclosed outside space.

  • "We absolutely loved staying here, we did 3 nights with our 2 young children and dog and the flat was immaculate."

It had everything you need plus a few little helpful extras and a brilliant location to walk everywhere. The only thing that would stop me booking it again was the WiFi - it was possibly shared with another place and when everyone was home in the evenings it just dropped out repeatedly. It meant that once the kids were in bed we couldn’t watch a film, and there isn’t much else to do when little ones asleep so we found that hard. Otherwise a great place and would recommend x

Our elderly dog settled so well and our little girl loved it too. We would definitely stay here again.

  • "Would have liked a proper up to date welcome pack."

The owner said it was being updated & did provide a short sheet but this was inaccurate. We tried to go to one of the pubs that she recommended, The Crown in Aberffraw, but it closed down in March 2023! This was very disappointing. Also, the bin day was incorrect.
