  • "We stayed there for my son's 50th birthday celebrations."

The ages ranged from 6 years to 82 years of age and it must be said we all had a fantastic stay, the house was magnificent and very spacious. The games room proved very popular and was enjoyed by all the guests. The hot tub was amazing especially after a cold dip in the sea. We all said we would definitely return to Y Goedwig, an idyllic home on the most beautiful island of Wales.

Hi Marlene Thanks you for your great review. We are so pleased you had a lovely time. We hope to see you again if you decide to return to YG. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely time."

The house was so spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of room for 11 of us. The games room was brilliant for the kids. The beds were really comfortable and all utensils provided were great. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Rhosneigr and the Oyster Catcher is also on the way so you can stop off for a drink.

Hi Kate Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so pleased you enjoyed the house and the facilities. We hope to see you again in the future. Thanks once again. Property Owner

  • "Love the use of games room and hot tub particularly on raining days."

The lounge and dining area are large and comfortable. Owner's communications via WhatsApp are informative and friendly. The location of the property is off the track, GPS did not work and can be difficult to find in the dark but the owner's instruction was good enough for us to finally get there. Maybe a small scaled up map on the driving instruction for the future can be more helpful.

Hi Cathy Thanks for your great review and high scoring. We will include more detailed directions in our pre-stay communications. Thanks once again and we hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "Everything was perfect, we were a family ages ranging from 5 to 76, The games room and hot tub were great."

The kitchen had everything we needed. The garden was enclosed and perfect for our dog. The house was spotless. The only problem we had was the sofas were to low for our elderly family members, but it would not stop us from returning. Shout out to your housekeepers they do a marvelous job.

  • "Y Goedwig is a great house for several families to stay."

We were a party of nine of varying ages so the games room for us was a big plus for all to enjoy as was the secure garden as we had two dogs. The weather was very kind but too kind for water sports as the waves were in short supply so boarding was out. Nether the less we all enjoyed our stay with live music at the nearby Oyster Catcher early Saturday evening. On our first night we usually celebrate with a glass of champagne only to find insufficient glasses but this was soon fixed by Johanne the owner with a delivery next day by Amazon this was much appreciated and all was good.

  • "We had a fantastic time at Y Goedwig the house, garden, hot tub and games room are furnished to a very high standard and it was spotless the pictures really don't do it justice."

Johanne, Lorraine and Matthew made us feel very welcome and always happy to help if you need any help or advice. The local area is lovely with a stunning beach within walking distance just beyond the sand dunes, highly recommend calling in at The Oyster Catcher for a drink and the food is very good too it is also very dog friendly which is an added bonus. Plenty more to see just a short drive away too many to mention but there are lots of brochures in the property so you can plan your week. We will be recommending the property to friends and family and would be more than happy to make a return visit in the future, thank you for a lovely holiday.

Take a rest from the beach or sightseeing to be entertained whatever the weather in the exceptional recreational games room; snuggle down into the stylish plush sofa with a book, choose a movie on the 65" Smart Sky TV that offers the full range of channels including sports, or opt for a competitive game of table tennis.

Completing the ground-floor is a handy cloakroom with a basin and WC as well as a utility room, fit with a washer/dryer, where you can freshen up your wardrobe after a day at the beach.

Heading upstairs you'll find four bedrooms, a family room boasting a king-size bed as well as an optional single futon bed- ideal for keeping an eye on little ones, a double room with the benefit of an en-suite shower room, a second double bedroom and a bunk room, where the option of an additional trundle bed can be requested for larger groups.

The bedrooms are serviced by a sleek family bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower cubicle as well as a glamorous roll top bath, inviting you to choose between enjoying a gentle soak as you escape into a good book or jumping in the shower to wash away the day.

Lace up your walking boots and take the short stroll into Llanfaelog, where you can enjoy a leisurely wander around Coed Cwr y Pwll, a National Forest that is home to woodland, wildflower meadows, and a tranquil pond.

Head in the opposite direction toward Rhosneigr and spend a fun-filled day at Traeth Crigyll, a stretch of golden sandy beach popular with water sports enthusiasts, where thrill-seekers can visit Funsport Water Sports & Surf Shop and learn to kite-surf or paddleboard.

After working up an appetite, head into Rhosneigr and indulge in a bite to eat at one of the village's many eateries, treating yourself with an ice-cream in typical seaside tradition.

Jump in the car and travel to the nearby seaside resort of Trearddur Bay, host to a selection of exciting attractions and sights to discover including The Trefignath Burial Chambers, a trio of Neolithic tombs, as well as the scenic Porth Diana Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, a well-maintained mix of grassland and heathland boasting breath-taking views across the coastline of Anglesey.
