  • "Very nice accommodation beautifully converted, plenty of space."

Let down by a few things that have been mentioned by previous people and nothing has been done about I.e dryer doesn’t work, mattress in bunk room very uncomfortable, light in sauna doesn’t work

  • "Falsely advertised as a 3 bath property."

Images also suggest that property has more land than it actually does. Had the listing been accurate stating 2 bathrooms then we wouldn’t have booked as sharing 2 toilets between 3 families is not sufficient.

  • "We had a pleasant stay at the Old Chapel."

The area invites you to explore and there is really a lot to discover. Overall, the house met our expectations. We had enough space for 4 adults and 8 children. Unfortunately, the outdoor area is less spacious than the pictures suggest. What we didn't like was that the craftsmanship in some places in the house wasn't very professional.

  • "The property was nice and clean for all guests, who enjoyed their stay."

The bedrooms were all a good size and the kitchen/diner was brilliant for all guests to be able to sit down and eat together. The big disappointment was that the details state 3 bathrooms, but there is only 2 which made it difficult for that amount of people staying in the property, with 6 bedrooms the property can hold up to 13 people. The picture on the website showed a lovely big garden, but the grounds do not belong to the property, which was a let down. The property is in a very quiet location, with very little close by. Better lighting outside the property would be helpful.

  • "The property in itself was lovely and the cleanliness wasn't overly bad but there were crumbs under tables etc up in the living area."

Rooms were lovely and clean and so we're the bathrooms. We were quite disappointed by the lack of the huge outdoor space that the picture led us to believe there was. We brought footballs etc so the children could play in what we thought was a huge grassed area but when we arrived we found that this area wasn't part of the property and was an adjoining field next door to it.

  • "Fantastic property."

Had everything we needed for our stay. Would recommend this property to anyone with a big family. Loved the attention to detail and extras like milk and scones etc. Clean. Thank you for giving us an extra night as Monday was a bank holiday.

  • "Really beautiful place to stay."

Everything was clean and well looked after. Our bed was too hard for us, so we didn’t sleep well, but the rest of our party were comfortable. The sauna was a big hit as was the huge lounge on the first floor. The furniture will only seat 8 adults comfortably, as we were a party of 10, camping chairs were used, which is not ideal, so another 2 seater would have been great. Overall, it was a relaxing and lovely place for a group holiday. We are already talking about another visit next year!

  • "The house was beautiful and we loved our stay."

However the double mattress in the downstairs bunk room is not acceptable and needs changing. ( I think the single one on the top bunk is the same but we didn’t try that) It is like lying directly on springs. I have read this feedback from at least 2 other guests and it does let the house down During our stay we also found the kitchen tap dripped constantly and most of the mugs were chipped, however the rest of the house felt really lovely, big and spacious. The underfloor heating and the sauna were totally hits and we would definitely stay again :-)

  • "The property was the perfect size for our family get together and there was plenty for us all to do."

We found the dining table really useful so we could all sit together and the living room had lots of seating for us all to chill our together. When we arrived, one of the trip switches was down and the fridge/freezer turned off. The fridge struggled to get to temperature and was really hot to the touch, a lot of the food we'd brought with us had to be thrown out as it had been in the car on the journey down then kept in a warm fridge for 24 hours. The heating seemed to be cranked right up, the initial 2 days of our stay was hot and the house was unbearable. No instructions to change the timings or temperature on the thermostats and even with the fan on and all windows open we were all melting. No recycling bags or boxes were provided so we went through a lot of bin bags and the black bin on the drive was almost full with bags on arrival so we didn't have much room to put our bags in there. The mattress in the bunk room was really uncomfortable and not suitable for adults to sleep on. Despite the issues we experienced, the stay was still pleasant and wouldn't put us off visiting the beautiful property and location again.

We did not have reception at the property and we told them In the message but no one tried to email or message. You tried to contact the owners again without success so we are not best pleased about this the lack of a microwave which was more than inconvenient and was listed as being available at the property I would like to hear from you on thid

The family-friendly cottage is also perfect for elderly relatives and little ones thanks to its ground-floor living; rinse off in the wet room followed by a refreshing steam in the sauna, before heading to one of two ground-floor bedrooms, a double and a twin both with handy basins.

Two more double bedrooms can be found on the first floor, with floor to ceiling windows framing wonderful countryside views and they are accompanied by a bunk room perfect for flexibility.

Climb the quirky spiral staircase in the sitting room to find the second-floor attic room, hosting a king-size bed for two lucky guests.
