"Very cosy cottage, with excellent hosts."
Ideal spot for dog walkers. Lovely local beaches, especially at Perranuthnoe, which is a lovely spot for a day on the beach, serviced by some delightful coffee shops.

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Packing house, and will definitely return."
Ian and Dawn are great hosts Their family has been here for several generations, and it was fascinating to learn the history of the farm. The enclosed garden was great to let our dog loose in, and there are lots of walks directly from the farm to discover. The farm itself is well positioned between Penzance and Helston, with Porthleven and the Lizard well worth a visit. St Ives is nearby too, best accessed by train from St Erth with the prettiest train journey .

"Lovely cosy and comfortable accommodation."
Everything you need for a break/holiday. Great location, nice walks and our Labrador loved the warm dog shower.
-
"Great location; property very spacious, spotlessly clean and a secure garden."
Owners Ian and Dawn were very friendly and helpful, recommending places for us to visit during our stay and also the lovely coastal walks from the property. Would highly recommend The Packing House and will definitely be booking again.

A nice large garden where your dog can safely run loose. And the owners are very nice and helpful. You get value for money

It was lovely to find all the Christmas goodies left out for us. A very nice place to stay, hope to be back again. Barbara & Martin

"We spent five days in the property which was clean and comfortable."
the owners were very personable and helpful. From a dog's point of view, the dog shower (which does have hot water, in case you were wondering) was a great facility, as was the enclosed garden and easy access to the lane and local walks. On site parking was a bonus. The wifi was fast. The Long Reach beach adjacent to St. Michael's mount is an ideal spot to run your dog(s) and free on Sundays, only £1.20 for 24 hours on other days. There are at least three major supermarkets near Long Reach, as you travel towards Penzance and a more local Co-op. You can easily walk from Long Reach into Marazion or Penzance along a coastal path. The Packing House was a good location for touring the south coast, from Sennen to Truro, to Falmouth and Helston. A successful holiday in a comfortable and well located property, we even had a few dry and fresh days :-)

"Lovely stay thank you, only comment is that there was no place to hang coats by the door other than that very comfortable, clean and everything you need."
-
"Facilities excellent- perhaps a few larger glasses would be useful- was a very nice place, beach at Perranuthnoe was just beautiful and a 20 minute walk away, we even swam there l!"
Good range of supermarkets a short drive away and a Co op just up the road. We had a lovely week, lucky with the weather, would definitely come again
-
"Our stay was not far off perfect, extremely clean, comfortable bed & pillows, everything you needed in the kitchen, enclosed & gated garden with lawn & good patio area with furniture & umbrella, ideal for dog, small shower room a little tight but just managable."
Most importantly the owners were very jolly & helpful, its such a peaceful area but close to Perranuthnoe beach, very good Co op with all you need only 2 mins away, St Micheals Mount, Marazion & Penzance less than 15 mins away. Highly recommend.

"As always the cottages let by Sykes are clean and tidy."
The owner lives on site and was readily available, very friendly, and vey informative over local issues.

"A well equipped, comfortable cottage."
Very helpful and friendly owners.

"The property is lovely."
We had good, comfortable stay. Around the kitchen/living room area we found lots of ants on the floor, kitchen counters. Definitely an issue which needs to be sorted.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that there was an issue with ants. If you had contacted us or the Sykes team we would have got this rectified straightaway for you. Property Owner

"The cottages are beautiful, we have been going back to the same cottages for the last 4 years."
The owners are brilliant, friendly, couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. We have already booked the same place for 2022 .

"Lovely location with easy parking; very spacious; spotlessly clean, & with a secure garden."
. The owners were very friendly & helpful, thanks to them we discovered a beautiful walk over fields to Perranuthnoe, with the most amazing beach, and the best place for breakfast at The Cabin. The local taxi service 'Jolly Roger' were also brilliant and take dogs, as do all the local pubs. We especially enjoyed the Coach & Horses. Lots to see in the area and all dog friendly.

"Great location and owners were very friendly and helpful."
Only negative was the double bed, it was too soft for us (I know that is personal preference) and could ideally be bigger (the room could accommodate a bigger bed) but that said a great stay. As other people say, the internet connectivity in Cornwall is terrible, if you have teenagers who live online then just because a cottage says it has wifi, don't assume this means it always works (outside of the towns it's unreliable). Great stay and gorgeous local beaches, I would recommend this location.

"The cottage was lovely and the hot tub enhanced the experience."
It’s a great location and there’s a lovely walk down to the beach from the cottage. Ian and Dawn were so helpful and friendly and gave is lots of good tips.

"Once again our hosts Dawn and Ian have welcomed us back to our little bolt hole ..."
Once again our hosts Dawn and Ian have welcomed us back to our little bolt hole in Cornwall , this is the fifth time we have stayed with them and look forward to going back in the near future , they could not do enough for us the accommodation was spottless and faultless , all in all with the great weather and good food a brilliant holiday
-
"The owners were very helpful and friendly, it's off the main road so no traffic noise which was good for us as we are light sleepers."
It was a short walk to the pub, shop and fish shop (10min). Won't suit everyone but it was perfect for us. We throughly enjoyed it.
-
"We really enjoyed our stay at the packing house, it was the perfect base for a few days exploring Cornwall."
The cottage was fine for us (2 adults and 2 young kids), but may be a bit small for families with older kids. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was also a great bonus!
-
"This was a return stay."
It was as good as the first time. Very relaxing. Loved the hot tub. Amazing coastal walks from the property. Would definitely return. Lynne Plant

"My daughter and I had a lovely stay in The Packing House."
It was like home from home. It had all the things we needed to make ourselves at home. The hot tub was fabulous. I’ve already booked again for a week in May 2021 and looking forward to it.

"Great little place, we had a good holiday and enjoyed the hot tub."
Couple of issues the TV was just basic with remote not working well, no smart TV so unable to watch much. Also only 1 toilet roll so we had to pop out to buy toilet rolls and washing up liquid. Overall lovely place and the hot tub is definitely a great addition to the place, we had lovely weather for a few days so really enjoyed it. The owners are also lovely and recommended places for us to visit while we were there. Thanks Mahmoona & Waqas

"The Packing house is well equipped with everything you could need."
Very clean on arrival, washing machine and dishwasher was very handy. The owners are lovely, good advice from Ian on walks in the local area, and also local pub recommendations. The Hot tub was wonderful after a days walking and the chemicals were checked by the owners daily. All in all lovely place, peaceful, relaxing, good for looking at the stars in the hot tub at night, but also only a 10 min drive to supermarket ect. The Only thing, and this is personal preference, the mattress in the double bed was very soft, and we rolled together in the night, we prefer a firm mattress, but this did not effect our stay at all.

"We booked this on the Tuesday to arrive on Friday, due to a previous booking being cancelled."
On the advert it does not say about being a holiday let above the property, only says owners adjacent. Had a few sleepless nights due to could hear the person above snoring. Footstep etc. Otherwise fab base. Hot tub was a brilliant add to the holiday.

"We had a wonderful time at the cottage."
The area was fantastic and good spot for a holiday.. All the places are near by. The owners were extremely kind and nice to us. I was one of the vulnerable people in Uk. This holiday was for me to see my daughter after 6 month who lives Cornwall and a first break for me to be out of the house as I was shielding since March. We want to stay near the beach . So we booked this. Cottage. We were bit worried before we went how the cottage going to be in term of cleanliness . It was fantastic. It was super clean. You will have everything over there to live on. We cooked Our own meals. They had hot tub. Which was fantastic after long day outing. My husband went for fishing unfortunately it wasn’t the season so he didn’t catch any. But owners were very kind they had some catch in their boat and gave us some mackerel. They were so friendly and kind . Place was very private and quiet. We loved it. Can go for long walk around that area lovely. People are very friendly and lovely. We really had a good break. We will go again. I will definitely recommend this cottage to my family and friends. From :Anonymous (public as Anonymous)

"Perfect location, lovely and clean, owners were friendly and helpful, would definitely book again!"
-
"The owners were very friendly, helpful and provided useful information about the local area."
The cottage is well equipped, with all modern amenities and is very peaceful and well placed for what we wanted to do in the area. Hot tub was great. There were cobwebs on the ceiling lights in the living room, on the ceiling light in one of the bedrooms and on the garden chairs. We were only given one toilet roll, which meant we had to go shopping straight away for loo roll, which was a little annoying. These issues didn't affect our stay as a whole though, just minor niggles.

"Ian and Dawn, who run the cottage, were wonderful hosts - very helpful and friendly."
We would definitely recommend the cottage and would like to return ourselves one day.
