  • "We had a fantastic week at Rocky Close (Easter 2024)."

The house is fab - exceptionally clean and comfortable with loads of space and great views - and the hot tub was a fantastic addition. Host was super helpful and friendly checking on the hot tub to make sure all working ok. Perfect family getaway.

  • "This place is amazing."

Pictures do not do it justice. Rooms are big and everything is provided. View is beautiful and hot tub to boot. What more could be said. New batteries in the remote for Netflix would have helped and I’m sure they would have been done I’d we asked. Nothing was any trouble and lovely people to book with. Highly recommend and would visit again.

  • "Amazing views and a spacious property with all we needed."

The hot tub was much appreciated as was the log burner, though the house was warm with good heating. The beds were comfortable and it was good to have the facilities of the utility room too. The walk down to the beach and Tate gallery was easy -also back though it is of course a steep hill! Walking down into the facilities of the town was also easy through the small streets. There weren't lots of seats in the sitting room close to the decking but we moved some from one of the bedrooms so we could all sit comfortably during our stay. It was a brilliant holiday and place to stay. (Small niggle : the dinner plates are too large for the dishwasher and it wasn't possible to move the top rack up any further. Small but irritating as we ended up washing them up!)

Thank you for your review. Rocky has two lounges. The original lounge with woodburner and ample seating for 8 guests. The second lounge which has bifold doors leading out onto the decking has a "L" shaped sofa that seats 5 or 6 guests. We took the corner out of the cottage to give maximum views across the bay but purposely haven't blocked the view with another sofa. We always hoped that guests use the original lounge when all seating together in the evening, and the lounge with views is the social room during the daytime, and preparation of meals so the whole family can be together. We really don't expect guests to huddle in together, as there is a second larger lounge with ample seating. Property Owner

  • "The house was absolutely perfect, the views were beautiful."

The house gave us everything we needed, we wanted for nothing. The house was spotless, lovely white bedding an fluffy white towels. All kitchen utensils were available for us to use, it was like home from home. Liz the owner was more than helpful, very friendly and approachable. We had an amazing week, 4 adults an 2 children…the house had more than enough space for us all. We will definitely be back an would recommend this house to anyone looking for a chilled holiday. I will miss those mornings sunrises an looking out to the ocean

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort.
