"We have stayed at the bungalow 2 times."
It’s a nice quiet place, The heater pump is nosy. And could do with some more kitchen items. And the cleaning could be better. But part from that lovely place.

"Beautiful property but could do with a deep clean, property has a few damp patches ."
When we arrived we found the kettle broke and dangerous to use has it had a broken lid so we had to purchase one, did message owner but no reply. The dishwasher had a broken detergent draw. A week before we arrived we had asked for the bed to be arranged as a king size but this hadn’t been done. Garden was badly maintained but well sized . Silly little thing like had to buy a kitchen knife as the ones there so blunt couldn’t even chop an onion

"The property is large enough and has some nice features."
The general cleaning was very low - lots of dust and cobwebs - especially in places you would notice. The up keep of it is terrible- there is damp coming in lounge and back bedroom There is rust in microwave general wiping down in kitchen needed and skirtings and alot of stickiness on furniture- it felt like there was no care put into the property between or monitoring of the bungalow. The beds were very uncomfortable - we had to put two blankets under sheet just to give us some relief from the mattress. The garden was very unkempt and most of it could not be used as grass had not been cut for a while - considering it allows dogs the gate was not appropriate in size and it wasn't secure. The fence and hedge runs the side of a busy in road into Rock. The slabs were not kept well and very slippy when going to the bins or outside. There was no instructions on the heating so we could not set it ourselves. We went through storm ciaran - we had to call and engineer and was without heating or hot water for overnight as the emergency number did not work. The fuse board was locked in a cupboard. We had to wait until the next day.

"Absolutely Brilliant place to stay, with such a pretty garden."
Our stay was like a little bit of magic.

"An absolutely enjoyable stay ."
The external picture does not do the bungalow justice. It is spacious, modern with all the amenities you could require. The Pizza oven in the garden is just wicked! We have already booked for next year we were that impressed.

"Positive. Great house."
Living area excellent. Garden good. Pizza oven and shelter good. Bathrooms excellent. Beds really comfy. Negative. Did not tell us that the twin bedroom was the biggest and had the best bathroom, so we did not request it be set up as a double. Hardly any instructions, using the tv was a nightmare. No teapot provided.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your stay, we are so glad you found the property to be comfortable, we will discuss with the owner about an instruction manual for the TV, we do hope to welcome you back to North Cornwall again soon. "The bungalow is really great and bigger than it looks in the photos, especially the living areas."
In lots of ways it was perfect for us and our dogs, we particularly loved the garden and pizza shack. The one major issue was the mattresses which we found very uncomfortable. In particular the front double bedroom and the twin had very hard mattresses which left us all with aching backs every morning and interrupted sleep so we all ended the week as tired or more tired than we started. This is the only thing that would stop us booking this property again.
Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at 29 Rock Haven. Sorry you found the beds uncomfortable, we will monitor this with future guests. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner

"A beautiful, clean, spacious property in lovely quiet road with pub in walking distance and rock harbour a five minute drive."
Wonderful garden for morning tea and sunny eves making pizza. Would definitely return and recommend to others. The property is perfect my only recommendation to improve would be a small welcome pack of milk etc and a more detailed guide of the area and beaches as such a beautiful area for people to explore. Thank you for a wonderful week!

"A few more hooks and shelving in bathroom and bedrooms would be useful."
Left dishwasher salt and rinse aid as filled it up because there was none in it. Great size bath towels. Pillows in smaller bedroom a bit floppy! Loved the property and excellent bathrooms, fab plants and garden area and great location for us. Home from home. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

"Three times I contacted John Bray."
Once at the office in Rock but no help forthcoming. Twice by phone about the uncleaned BBQ, A Vacuum cleaner that had a broken handle and therefore unusable. ( This had been reported by a previous guest in April). No cleaning materials and dirty UPVC on windows in one of the bedrooms. The BBQ was cleaned on Wednesday pm which was far too late because the holiday started on the Saturday. Nine previous bookings with John Bray have been brilliant. John Bray let me down this time.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues and we apologise our fixes were not fast enough for you. We are now sorting all issues with the owner. - We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. "Excellent property, exactly as advertised on the site."
The 3 en-suite double bedrooms was a great bonus. Enjoyed cooking a few meals in the well appointed kitchen and particularly loved the Pizza Shack. Great base for exploring North Cornwall, Bluntrock brewery was a personal favourite. On the down side, was disappointed the BBQ had been left in a really filthy, mouldy state. It wasn't cleaned despite reporting it to John Bray on the Monday. Also, the vacuum handle had been snapped off and left in the cupboard.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the feedback from your recent stay. We are pleased you enjoyed the property so much and got to explore North Cornwall. We are sorry you found the BBQ in a dirty state and that the vacuum handle was broken. We appreciate you highlighting this to us and we will certainly pass this back to the housekeeping team. "Lovely holiday cottage in a great location."
Had almost everything we needed, a few additions such as outdoor shower/clothes airer/outdoor lighting would have been the icing on the cake. Lovely thoughtful Christmas gifts of a tree, food, wine and a card were much appreciated. Bathrooms are fab, open plan living was spacious. Managed to cook our Christmas dinner with no issues of lacking utensils/crockery. Only a couple of downsides: The garden is NOT secure for dogs, they can escape over the small back wall where the hedges are so this is a thing to note! Luckily ours are well behaved so we had no disappearing acts. But additional fencing would be a good idea. Carpet in the lounge area is a tad annoying with a muddy garden, would have been better to continue the lovely kitchen floor through to this area - the dogs are sick of us wiping paws! Pizza shack was a great touch even in December & was one of the reasons we went for this property over others. All in all a great stay, I would definitely recommend & return.

"Lovely modern house in a little village."
Short drive to Rock where there is the most fabulous beach. Great location for exploring. The house is nice and warm. The cutlery is in an extra drawer under the hob. It would have been nice to have a little welcome pack. After driving for 6 hours and all shops were closed a pint of milk and some tea bags would have been very welcome. Nothing like spare bin bags, cling film, foil, so remember to pack some. The garden isn't secure and only realised when my dog was on the other side of the hedge I had to move the bins around to block off the side paved area. My fault for not checking first. The Pizza Shack in the garden is a great addition, great for sitting out with a glass of wine after a long day investigating the area. Would definitely stay again.

"The bungalow is extremely modern with bathrooms for all three bedrooms."
The kitchen/dining/living rooms are all one big room. The heating system is also very modern with a heat pump and extremely complicated control room in the middle of the house. We were cold one evening and despite several maintenance calls by Bray we had to resort to two portable heaters, one of which didn't work and was replaced the next morning. The radiators eventually became tepid but we felt that this complicated heating system unsuitable for a holiday rental property.
Many thanks for your feedback on 29 Rockhaven Gardens. We are sorry you feel the heating system is not suitable for holiday letting. we are working to gain the maintenance teams knowledge on the heating pump to make the holiday seasons a lot easier. We hope to invite you back to North Cornwall very soon. John Bray on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

"Disappointed that the heating was not working properly for the first couple of days."
When it got totally stopped and we reported it, the maintenance man was very good and brought extra heater's and fixed it the following day. The general cleanliness of the property was disappointing, things were dusty. It looked like the cleaner had rushed and missed things. We could not find the cutlery draw and had to call the help line luckily the lady who answered my call had this question before. There was an iron but no ironing board. It was a lovely property but lacked a few finishing touches, it would have been nice to have a welcome pack with a pint of milk and a few tea bags.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are sorry that you experienced these issue with the property we have contacted the owner and the cleaning staff about these issues, we do hope this didn't impact your stay to much and hope to welcome you back in the future. "Bungalow was very clean and finished to high standard."
It was especially good for my mother who has limited mobility. Ground floor leaving and wet room made this perfect. 5 minutes drive from Rock beach was great. Early morning walks on the beach with dogs was beautiful start to the day. Would also like to thank Sykes cottage for fast repair. Noticed crack in toilet seat in one of the rooms. They attended same day to replace. Overall a great experience and Cornwall is beautiful place stay.
