The property

This stunning bungalow is set just outside Upper Seagry on a working farm which is home to free range chickens and fantastic countryside views.

With oak flooring throughout, the cottage has been decorated to a high standard and is very well equipped.

The kitchen has a dining area and a fantastic Belfast sink and range oven so the chef in the group can cook delicious evening meals.

The spacious sitting room has a cosy woodburner and comfortable sofas for everyone to gather together and enjoy some quality time.

Patio doors lead from here out to the lawned garden and provide some lovely views.

At the end of the day there are three bedrooms to choose from, all equally designed to a high standard while the master room has a walk-in wardrobe and a contemporary en-suite.

There are also patio doors out to a private garden area which really makes you feel as if you are away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The family bathroom has an impressive freestanding bath for relaxing in the evening and both here and the en-suite have underfloor heating.

Completing the accommodation is a handy utility and boot room which also has a separate cloakroom, an ideal space for storing your boots and coats after a day spent exploring the area.

Outside the cottage is equally as appealing, there is a charming wisteria walkway and a herb garden to the front which help create a lovely countryside retreat.

The nearby area provides a number of different attractions to suit all tastes including Longleat House and Gardens, Westonbirt Arboretum and at Malmesbury is the Athelstan Museum and abbey and gardens.

Malmesbury is a fantastic choice for a day out discovering the local culture and history and has a number of places to enjoy a bite to eat.

With such fantastic amenities The Farm House is a delightful base.

Malmesbury 5 Miles; Chippenham 6 miles

The small North Wiltshire village of Upper Seagry is found in superb countryside only five miles north of the bustling market town of Chippenham, and six miles from the ancient town of Malmesbury. Close to the southern end of The Cotswolds, this rural location provides a great base from which to explore this fascinating area. There are ample footpaths and bridleways nearby, a visit to Malmesbury - with its 12th century Benedictine Abbey - is a must, whilst a trip to the Cotswold Water Park is a real treat. Westobirt Arboretum, with its extensive collection of trees and shrubs is not to be missed. Within an easy drive can be found the picturesque village of Castle Combe, also well known for its car racing track, and the quaint National Trust village of Lacock, used as the setting for the BBC TV serial Cranford. The impressive Roman city of Bath, Bowood House, and the ancient stone circle at Avebury are also easily accessible. This really is an excellent base for a relaxing and interesting break at any time of the year.
