“Great Location but......”
We stayed here for three nights and to be honest, were a little disappointed. The location of the cottage is great - walkable to all amenities in the town, including the train station, so it was nice to ditch the car in the evening. Unfortunately we felt that some aspects of the cottage were not up to the standard we were expecting. The bed was uncomfortable, with a soft mattress and synthetic duvet, resulting in one of us decamping to the other bedroom in order to get some sleep. Similarly, the sofas are tired and offered little support, especially the cream leather one which was particularly uncomfortable.
The bathroom was good, with an excellent shower, although the towels provided were far too small. If you are staying here and are larger than a Size 6, then you may wish to bring your own bath towels if you want to dry yourself properly. All in all we found the cottage to be just about okay but with a bit more attention to quality, it could be so much better. I’m afraid we wouldn’t choose to stay here again when visiting the Cotswolds in the future.
