  • "The moment we stepped into Top Barn, we felt instantly and completely at home."

It was so cosy, warm and clean. Everything that we needed was provided. Wonderful position for exploring, although remote and so quiet. The owners were very warm and welcoming. A vase of flowers greeted us, and the next day some slices of homemade cake. We will certainly return next year. Absolutely loved it, had a fantastic holiday.

  • "Very peaceful and relaxing location"

    Mr CorkeSep 2021

  • "Lovely cottage at the end of a long driveway."

Has a private patio leading from the downstairs bedroom, well equipped with 4 chairs, folding table and a parasol. Only the cool wind stopped us from enjoying an outdoor breakfast, but we were joined by friends for a socially distanced get together and were outside for 5hrs, following the sun around onto the grassed area beyond the patio. Also enjoyed seeing a fox, hares and for longer periods Red Kites which came very close to the property. The open plan living room, dining area and kitchen are on the 1st floor to make the most of the beautiful views. Very comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen, large dining table. The double and twin bedrooms, along with the bathroom are on the ground floor. Large shower and bath so have the option of a refreshing shower or a relaxing soak after a full day walking or enjoying the surrounding countryside and villages. Due to Covid restrictions we chose not to dine out in the evenings but there are some local pubs that look nice. We picked up keys from owner Karen at her property and she took us down to the property and waited outside whilst we had a look around so if we had any immediate queries she could answer them. We had no issues during our stay, but were confident that Karen was available if needed. We only stayed 3 nights this time but hope to return for longer soon. We couldn't fault this lovely cottage or the area it is in.

  • "Top Barn is a great place to stay."

We loved everything about it, including the 'upside down' layout and the views of the surrounding countryside. It is very nicely furnished and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The outside patio area is perfect for breakfast and evening dining. John and Karen were excellent hosts and the welcome cakes went down a treat, Excellent location, quiet and peaceful.

), very helpful owners. Open plan living area upstairs with the views of the fields. Nothing else to say, lovely stay.

Very well equipped, easy check-in, clean and comfortable!

  • "Top Barn is amazing."

Everything was perfect. Karen the owner is lovely, near enough if you need them but not intrusive at all. The barn has everything you need, the view is lovely and peaceful. We will be back.

  • "Wonderful house in a beautiful location."

Owners are really helpful and kind. Thank you for the fairy cakes when we arrived. It was also great to have basic staples like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, washing machine liquid provided. Perfect. There are not many places we've stayed that you can watch hares from your patio or lounge! Magical. Incredible variety of birds too - never seen a yellowhammer or a brambling before. We had to look them up - wifi worked perfectly. Sitting outside and watching red kites, buzzards, a special treat. Great little walk / cycle to The Norman Knight. Wyatt's Farm Shop is worth a visit too, and the Spar in Hook Norton is brilliant (not something I ever thought I'd say!). Great selection of vegetables, fruit and herbs. If they don't have it, I don't think you really need it. Thank you for a superb holiday.
