  • "Feedback for the owner: Could have done with some instructions for rubbish collection (when/where to put bins/bags out) and for appliances (eg dishwasher)."

Oven & shelves weren’t clean on arrival and a pan was unusable) General feedback: Lovely well equipped accommodation. Really enjoyed our short stay.

  • "The photos were accurate although the layout is a little difficult to grasp from the photographs."

The parking area leads directly onto the road which can be a little busy around school times. The front door is two steps down from the drive/car parking space at the front of the property. The first area after the front door is a small sitting room followed by the dining area. The sitting room has a small cupboard for coats. The stairs to the first and second floors leads off the dining area and a door leads into a galley kitchen. There is also a downstairs toilet which opens into the kitchen. From the kitchen there are 2 steps down to a corridor that leads to the lounge/tv room at the rear of the house. Halfway down this corridor there are patio doors to a small outside deck area with table and chairs. The garden is entered from the lounge/tv area and although it is decked or astro turfed there are a few steps. On the first floor there is a bathroom, front and rear bedrooms each 1 step up from the landing and a further set of stairs to the bedroom on the second floor. All 3 of the double beds seemed comfy although we only slept on the rear first floor bed which was very good. Plenty of storage space in each bedroom. Access into the property was easy with instructions beforehand that were accurate. Unloading from a car into the property was very easy. The heating and the shower were good and both were supplied by a gas combi boiler. The area was quiet with a public house that serves food at the corner of the road 1 minute walkaway. The walk into the high street was around 10 mins with plenty of small shops, places for coffee as well as a large Waitrose, a medium sized M&S and a Tesco express. There is a larger Tesco, Aldi and Lidle 15-20 mins away in Barton on Sea. Unfortunately the light over the front door and the towel rail in the bathroom on the first floor did not seem to be working. The instruction booklet contained the info for the wifi and was to be found in the loung/tv room. There were no instructions for the dishwasher or oven and nothing about rubbish or recycling. Cutlery and crockery was adequate but please note there were no scissors and only one sharp knife. There was little in the way of initial supplies only 1 pt milk and a few sachets of vinegar and mayo. The wifi was good in lounge but not so good in the kitchen and dining room. It was poor in the bedrooms. For information Monday is rubbish and recycling day. There are two black dustbins bins only 1 was empty so others also unaware of dates. Glass bottles are recycled in the black box. Cardboard, metal tins and cans, paper and plastic bottles (but not tops) are the only things recycled and must be placed in the clear plastic bags. Large black bags and the clear recycling bags were on shelf above washing machine in the kitchen cupboard. Except for the minor niggles it was a very comfortable stay and we would return if need to be in the area again. It was a great location for coast and the New Forrest.

  • "A very interesting place to stay (in a good way!"

). Clean, quiet and spacious with unusual but attractive art, decorations and layout. Well-equipped. We met some of the neighbours, who were very friendly, and the location is excellent - a short walk to the Lymington town centre and marina, and very easy access to all the wonderful places in the New Forest. Highly recommended!
