  • "Really lovely cottage in a beautiful village."

It was great that, as two couples, we each had an ensuite, no fighting over the master bedroom!! Comfortable furniture and everything we needed for self catering (inspired to get new cheese grater like yours!!) Location, amazing. We thought the gallery was better than the Reeth galleries. Overall, a great stay. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

  • "Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting."

Well-equipped and plenty of space for 2 couples. Great to have 3 bathrooms. Only drawback is that there is no outside space to sit and have a drink and enjoy the sunshine.

Hi there Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback and glad that you returned again . Good to hear that you enjoyed the cottage and the local facilities Hope you may come again next year and if you do , you may do what we do in the evenings and enjoy a drink sitting on the seat at the front of the cottage ! For me personally, Muker has many childhood memories and it had been 15+ years since I last visited. I was so thrilled when I was able to relive the experience that Muker and surrounding beauty has to offer. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. • "It was great."

The only noticeable area of improvement is that when we have stayed in other Sykes cottages there has been a bottle of milk in the fridge. Luckily it was a time and day when the village shop was open,, but some milk would be good. Other properties have even provided a bottle of wine. The sachets of coffee provided had a Use By Date that was about 8 or 9 months old. Also some shampoo:shower gel would be useful. That said everything g else was fine. It was good to have washing machine and dishwasher and everything worked. Beds and bedding were excellent. The description on the website is silent on the garden, but should probably say that there isn’t one. It is also slightly misleading about the parking, which is a very narrow headstand jutting out into the road so if you have a large or wide car you may need to park in the public parking (£15 per week).

  • "The cottage is in a wonderful position in a glorious Dales village."

The facilities were comfortable - especially the beds. We could have done with a bit more wood and kindling for the two stoves as well as some oven gloves. That being said, the cottage was warm and the communication with the owners was faultless. We will certainly be booking again!

Hi there Thank you for taking the time to offer feedback. It is good that you enjoyed the location as it is so beautiful . I agree the beds and peace are very conducive to a great nights sleep ! I am sorry though that no oven gloves were left for you, they should have been available for you so apologies . We do leave a starter pack of fuel for the stoves , but glad that the cottage was cosy anyway. So glad you are returning to us and look forward to hearing from you again Chris Property Owner

  • "Wayside Farm is a beautiful cottage."

It was like a home away from home with everything you could possibly need. We loved the snug area with the log fire on. The is two lovely spacious bedrooms with en suites and a cosy room with bunk beds that my children loved. There is no phone reception in the village, which suited us so we could switch off for a few days, but there is reliable wi-fi in the cottage if needed. We had a great stay and look forward to returning.
