  • "Another amazing stay at Brightwater Lodge."

We have been before, few times last year and we are coming back again soon. The Brightwater Lodge is modern, spotlessly clean and spacious in a quiet part of the White Cross Bay, only a few meters from the Lake. It has everything we needed, plenty of glasses, pans, pots and plates. The heating in the lodge is very good and of course amazing hot tub - never had any problems with anything/ Fantastic place to stay. Can't wait for our next visit in March.

  • "Disgusted with this owner and Sykes."

Property was dirty, chipped crockery 3 desert spoons only. It was cold due to the heating being off all day and no access to put it on. It was a hot tub wkend and the hot tub was luck warm. The owners knew it was a problem as the last guests review sited the same issue and maintenance told us they were waiting for a new panel to be fitted. The maintenance staff added a little hot water in the mornings and it was too cold to use by the evenings. I will never book with Sykes ever again neither will my family. Absolute waist of money . It was expensive to begin with before we arrived and found o utterly miserable the whole weekend. Shame on the owners

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. As owners we take pride in our lodge and following your comments I had a deep inspection completed. We found the lodge clean ,Comfortable and also fully equipped.. with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The heating is turned down in-between guests to conserve energy, but once turned on the lodge is lovely and warm within 15 minutes. Unfortunately the hot tub did have an issue. We pride ourselves on our customer satisfaction. So are deeply disappointed that you didn't appear to enjoy any part of your stay. Fortunately we have many very happy guests who choose to return year after year. equipped with all necessary equipment. Unfortunately plates do occasionally get chipped. Property Owner

  • "Lovely lodge."

would use again, as long as the following issues are addressed. water temp was set too low, resulting in luke warm showers and baths, etc. boiler is behind locked door, so no access to adjust thermostat, although heating throughout was tremendous. hot tub was out of use and broken throughout. had maintenance out twice but they were unable to fix it. we felt sorry for the people following us. apart from that, the lodge served us well

Thank you so much for review, We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back. We agree that Brightwater is a lovely warm cosy lodge, in a beautiful location on the park. We are very sorry that the hot tub was out of use. With is being constantly used occasionally issues arise and parts need replacing. Our maintenance team do everything possible to rectify any issues as quickly as possible. We hope that we can accommodate you again in the future and would love to offer you a hamper on arrival if you choose to return. Kind regards Tina Unfortunately with the hot tub being in constant use occasionally parts need replacing. This has now been addressed. Property Owner
