  • "We had a great weekend at the Barn."

Our group of 11 had plenty of space to chill and play. The views from the living room are stunning and it’s so easy to lose time enjoying it. The Barn is so well equipped, we had everything and more than needed to do a Sunday roast and pudding and I loved having everyone sitting around the table together. The beds were comfy and the showers were brilliant, very powerful and hot! There’s so much to do in the area making the Barn the perfect place to go for an active or relaxing holiday, thank you Iona for making our weekend perfect.

Thanks so much for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and hope to see you again! Property Owner

  • "Amazing property, owners have put a lot of thought into customers comfort."

The bedding was pristine, beds so comfortable and kitchen well stocked with equipment. The kids loved the freedom of the yoga / games room and the massive to ! Could not fault one thing, and Dan was wonderful in arranging a tour of the farm for the family. Iona was so friendly when I asked whether the boys could use the field for football nothing was too much for her. I would highly recommend this holiday barn in beautiful surroundings and would really love to return in the future.

thanks for your lovely words, we loved having you here and you were most welcome having a look around. those 2 pregnant cows we showed you have now had their calves and are happily grazing outside! Property Owner

  • "Excellent location for walking in the Shropshire hills ..."

Excellent location for walking in the Shropshire hills A great venue for a reunion Well converted and very comfortable Sleeps 12 - but only one cooker, really needs a second or a larger one if you plan to self-cater Likewise a second fridge in the kitchen would be useful (the one downstairs is not ideal, and both are small)

thanks for your nice feedback and taking the time to feedback back to us, it's really useful to hear what you think and helps us for the future! Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our 3 night break at the Black Lion Barn."

The barn was very spacious and well furnished with regard to the main accommodation. We did, however, feel that there was a lack furnishing in the yoga area, and would have preferred the larger tv to have been placed in the living room. While the bedrooms were well supplied some of the beds were too close to the walls, with little or no space around the bed. This was especially the case in one of the downstairs bedrooms. Overall, however, we were pleased with our booking and some of our party would look at re-booking for a family birthday.

  • "Wonderful accommodation for a big group of us, I highly recommend this place!"

Everything was beautifully clean, modern and warm. The log burner kicked out some serious heat and the we were provided a good stash of logs to keep us going. The kitchen is really well kitted out and my god the coffee machine makes good coffee!! The showers are instantly hot and really good water pressure (not the horrid dribble you can get in some places), and it didn’t make a difference if multiple people were having showers at the same time. The beds are really comfortable and the sound insulation is really good - you wouldn’t know you’re staying immediately next to a working farm. The owners were lovely on the phone. I think our only gripes were that we couldn’t find any larger bins outside to put recycling etc in.

thanks for your lovely feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay! the recycling bins are well hidden outside! Property Owner

The space worked brilliantly for 8 adults and 4 children - plenty of bathrooms and the big yoga studio was a great space for the children to run about. The kitchen was very well equipped, including plates etc and high chairs for kids. Great communication and help from the owners too. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Thank you for a great stay.

  • "We had a lovely week at Black Lion Barn, even though half of our family group were unable to come because our granddaughter test positive for Covid at the last minute."

The barn has been extremely well converted, to a high standard, and well equipped. The view from the floor to ceiling window in the lounge area was stunning. The only small matter I would mention is that if all 11 people had been there, I think it would have been challenging to cook meals for everyone, as the kitchen area is not very big, and the oven and microwave were quite small. There were however, lots of crockery and glasses, and all the equipment was of very good quality. The welcome gifts of Prosecco, hand made fudge and milk were very much appreciated. thank you Iona.
