  • "The accommodation as lovely as it is and in a great setting often felt like you were on a building site."

It is not made clear that the site is not yet completed and ongoing development continues to include tarmac surfacing to the main entrance, drilling and ongoing construction work. I had to request coat hangers as only 2 were in the wardrobe- the owner was prompt at providing lots more the following day. The seal in the shower was faulty so we were not able to use this, again I informed the owner of this. Lighting on the site is poor at night and the current lighting doesn’t seem adequate, we arrived at night and really struggled navigating the lodge in the dark. It would also have been helpful to have bins closer to the lodges - the current arrangements are at the entrance gate. This site was great for accessing the park and ride service which is a 5 minute walk away. The lodges are well equipped and clean and it is nice that dogs are welcome. I would like to revisit when the site is fully complete - the views and scenery are stunning and from our lodge we could see Whitby Abbey a good base for a break near Whitby.

  • "Fabulous lodge in a really convenient location for Whitby."

The park and ride is just across the road. The lodge was furnished and maintained beautifully. We loved how all the lodges were well spaced out over the site giving a real sense of privacy. Had a wonderful stay, thank you.

  • "Lovely place, very comfortable."

Looks brand new, and absolutely spotless. Loved the decor. Great views, and nice to see the horses and sheep right there. Only minor points are that the bathroom is absolutely tiny, as is the second bedroom. Very nice enclosed deck with hot tub. Very quiet and peaceful, with the Stables Restaurant very handy, and the Park and Ride literally just across the road, making it so easy to get into town without having to worry about parking. Overall, we Loved it and had a really relaxing weekend.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the comfort, decor, and views at the lodge. It’s wonderful to hear that the location and nearby amenities contributed to a relaxing weekend. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Stag lodges team Property Owner

  • "I can't remember if in the listing mentioned a freezer so we didn't pack any frozen food."

The accommodation itself was amazing absolutely loved it. Could have done with more instructions about the hot tub. Will definitely book again.

Many thanks for your kind feedback. As the park and lodge is brand new we had not yet managed to provide hot tub instructions. This has now been rectified. We hope to see you again soon. Stag lodge team Property Owner

  • "We were the first ever guests at Hazel Lodge and everything was brand new."

The Lodge is beautiful with amazing views over to Whitby Abbey and the sea. We had everything we needed and loved every minute. The park and ride is a 2 minute walk away, the pub is a 2 minute walk away and the hot tub was lovely and relaxing in the evening. The owners live on site and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It really is an outstanding location and the site has been thought out very well to make best use of the surrounding views. We are already looking to book for later on the year.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Hazel Lodge and appreciated the views and amenities. It’s great to know you found the location convenient and the owners helpful. We look forward to welcoming you back later in the year. Stag lodge team Property Owner
