"Super lodge, well spaced out in a great position, on a lovely site."
A few things missing in the lodge however; a fire blanket & extinguisher, oven gloves & only one bin liner provided.
A mat by the French doors from the decking & a lamp in the lounge area are just suggestions to consider.
All in all, we had a lovely break, & would definitely return in the future.
Thank you for your great feedback — we’re really glad you enjoyed the lodge and the peaceful setting. We appreciate your helpful suggestions and will certainly look into adding those extra touches to improve the experience. We’d love to welcome you back again soon!

"Excellent location and beautiful surroundings."
Approx 2 minute walk to park and ride, 7 minute ride into town, £5.20 return for family of 4!
Lodge was beautiful.
Couple of really simple and cheap additions needed: a mat inside the french doors when walking in from the decking/hot tub and a clothes maiden two dry your wet towels in after the hot tub to save hanging them on the shower screen/radiators.
Plates/dishes etc were all dirty, we put them through the dishwasher so not a major problem.
Highly recommend and will return!
Thank you for your lovely feedback — we’re so pleased you enjoyed the location and found the lodge beautiful. We really appreciate your helpful suggestions about the mat and clothes airer, and we’ll make sure to address the issue with the dishware. We’d be delighted to welcome you back

"Although this site is close to a busy road, we didn’t notice the noise - even when in the hot tub."
We like that it is a half hour walk from Whitby and that the site is small and spacious (you don’t feel overlooked by your neighbours). The lodge itself is stunning and we like that there are two shower rooms with toilets. The master bedroom has a huge walk in wardrobe and the twin isn’t cramped. The hot tub got to 38 degrees, which is pleasant enough and typical of a lot of holiday lets. Personally I like it at 39 degrees but that is on the hot side. We would like clearly marked recycling and rubbish bins in the bin hut but maybe they’re not quite there yet with it being a new site. We recommend this lodge and site.
Thank you for your lovely feedback — we’re so pleased you enjoyed the lodge, the spacious layout, and the facilities. Just to mention, the hot tubs can be adjusted to your preferred temperature if you’d like it a little warmer next time. We also use a private waste company that takes care of recycling off-site, so there’s no need to separate rubbish. We really appreciate the recommendation and would love to welcome you back!

"The accommodation as lovely as it is and in a great setting often felt like you were on a building site."
It is not made clear that the site is not yet completed and ongoing development continues to include tarmac surfacing to the main entrance, drilling and ongoing construction work. I had to request coat hangers as only 2 were in the wardrobe- the owner was prompt at providing lots more the following day. The seal in the shower was faulty so we were not able to use this, again I informed the owner of this. Lighting on the site is poor at night and the current lighting doesn’t seem adequate, we arrived at night and really struggled navigating the lodge in the dark. It would also have been helpful to have bins closer to the lodges - the current arrangements are at the entrance gate. This site was great for accessing the park and ride service which is a 5 minute walk away. The lodges are well equipped and clean and it is nice that dogs are welcome. I would like to revisit when the site is fully complete - the views and scenery are stunning and from our lodge we could see Whitby Abbey a good base for a break near Whitby.
Thank you for your detailed feedback — we’re really pleased you enjoyed the lodge, its cleanliness, and the beautiful setting. We appreciate your comments and would like to clarify a few points. The bins are positioned at the entrance to allow guests to easily drop off their rubbish on the way out, which helps keep the lodge areas clean and tidy. Regarding the lighting, we’re located within the North York Moors and follow strict dark sky guidelines set by planning regulations, so we’re limited in what lighting we can install on-site. As a brand-new development, there are still a few finishing touches being completed, and we do apologise if this impacted your stay. We’d love to welcome you back once everything is fully complete

"Hot tub too cold to use when we got there and we did not realise it took so long to heat up so couldn’t use next day either when we got back in after spending a we day in Whitby ."
. once to a decent temp it was great !
Great location just across from park n ride , the Stables restaurant was ok and just a short walk away. Chalet was lovely
Thank you for your feedback — we’re really glad you enjoyed the chalet and the location. We’re sorry to hear there was an issue with the hot tub on arrival. We always fill the tubs with hot water to ensure they’re ready for use when guests arrive, so it sounds like there may have been some confusion or an isolated issue. We’re pleased you were able to enjoy it once it reached temperature, and we hope to welcome you back again soon

The park and ride is just across the road. The lodge was furnished and maintained beautifully. We loved how all the lodges were well spaced out over the site giving a real sense of privacy. Had a wonderful stay, thank you.

"Lovely place, very comfortable."
Looks brand new, and absolutely spotless. Loved the decor. Great views, and nice to see the horses and sheep right there.
Only minor points are that the bathroom is absolutely tiny, as is the second bedroom.
Very nice enclosed deck with hot tub. Very quiet and peaceful, with the Stables Restaurant very handy, and the Park and Ride literally just across the road, making it so easy to get into town without having to worry about parking.
Overall, we Loved it and had a really relaxing weekend.

The accommodation itself was amazing absolutely loved it. Could have done with more instructions about the hot tub. Will definitely book again.
Many thanks for your kind feedback. As the park and lodge is brand new we had not yet managed to provide hot tub instructions. This has now been rectified.

"We were the first ever guests at Hazel Lodge and everything was brand new."
The Lodge is beautiful with amazing views over to Whitby Abbey and the sea. We had everything we needed and loved every minute. The park and ride is a 2 minute walk away, the pub is a 2 minute walk away and the hot tub was lovely and relaxing in the evening. The owners live on site and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It really is an outstanding location and the site has been thought out very well to make best use of the surrounding views. We are already looking to book for later on the year.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Hazel Lodge and appreciated the views and amenities. It’s great to know you found the location convenient and the owners helpful. We look forward to welcoming you back later in the year.
