  • "The lodge was lovely, great location a short walk from the park and ride, 5 quid for family day ticket into the usually chocka whitby town."

    same distance to great pub at the stables, also cafe in garden center beside park and ride. loads of outside space for kids and dogs plus horses for kids to say hello to. well equipped kitchen with some cleaning materials left to use. a couple of niggles was only five knives for six people, could also do with a serrated bread knife. floors very creaky in bedroom corridor which in a quite confined space was annoying, doors were squeaky as well but had some wd40 in car so sorted that. main bedroom huge as was shower, which was one of the best we have had in any hotel or cottage we have stayed in, could have done with a bigger bed as there is plenty of room for it. loads of storage space but could do with a chair for the make up mirror. externally plenty of decking space with seating for 6, but could have done with a parasol as it was a really sunny few days, decking can also get slippy if wet and steps particularly could do with some rubber pads or something. parking was limited slightly as we had three cars and there was only gravel space for two, plenty of grass but not sure if that would be frowned upon? luckily next door plot was available so it wasnt an issue but if it was peak season it might be. all in all just a couple of small niggles but wouldnt hesitate to recommend the lodge and would deffo stay again in future.

  • "Holly Lodge is a great new find for us!"

    A lovely, clean and well equipped property with a wonderful view over the fields to Whitby. The owner has thought of everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a welcome pack. The site itself is quiet and well kept. We didn’t really want to leave, and will be looking to book again in September.

    Well looked after. Would like a few more furnishings - like lampshades, pictures, hooks on back of doors but it didn’t detract from a lovely property and holiday. Great location.

  • "Holly Lodge in Whitby is an absolute gem."

    We had the most wonderful stay, and the snowfall made it feel completely magical. The lodge itself is beautifully kept, warm, and welcoming, with everything you need for a cosy break. Waking up to quiet, snowy views over Whitby was something really special. It’s in a perfect location too – peaceful, but still close enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The little touches around the lodge made it feel like a real home-from-home, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into making it a relaxing place to stay. Overall, a truly fantastic experience. I’d go back in a heartbeat and would recommend Holly Lodge to anyone wanting a memorable stay in Whitby, especially if you’re lucky enough to catch it in the snow.

  • "Lovely spacious lodge in a great location near Whitby."

    Loved the gates that were closed at night making the site feel very safe. Generally very quiet on the site which was great. However there were workmen there on times due to site not being finished. Would be good to know that workmen are likely to be on site at times prior to booking.

  • "Holly Lodge is in a very lovely part of Yorkshire The lodge is set on open fields with lots of open space."

    The lodge itself is very spacious and in a nice position with local facilities nearby The interior of the lodge is very good nice kitchen two good sized bathrooms Three bedrooms all good size. The only down side for me was the mattress in the en-suite room was very uncomfortable. But would definitely recommend stag lodges a great place to stay

  • "Fabulous accommodation it had everything we needed, lots of storage & well kitted out kitchen."

    Very modern & clean. It was also great set up for our dog too, nice & secure for him and plenty of grass around. We were that happy with our short break that have booked again but staying longer

  • "Holly lodge is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay."

    It is clean, beautifully decorated and there is plenty space and storage for everyone. It is a couple of minutes walk to the nearest pub/restaurant which served lovely food. The park and ride is also with in walking distance.

  • "Lovely accommodation, clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet & relaxing."

    ...... HOWEVER - some blackout curtains in the bedrooms would have made our stay absolutely perfect, not a fan of waking every morning, while on holiday with daylight flooding the bedroom. Regards Pete, Pam & Max the dog

  • "Beautiful accommodation."

    We have loved our stay. House keeping folder is misleading. Stating cushions for outside furniture kept in the walk in wardrobe. After a full search no cushions found. It also had instructions on a hot tub. I rang the contact number which was answered immediately. ( I did not want anyone to think we had taken to the cushions ) I was informed the information had been copied and pasted. It was not relevant to Holly lodge.

  • "A wonderful lodge, a great stay and definitely somewhere we will recommend and return."

    In a fantastic location, the lodge is comfortable and clean. Although there were a couple of things that didn’t quite make sense (the welcome info talks about a hot tub but we were not expecting one/ there isn’t one!) we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the lodge. It felt quite new in many ways. A couple of things to note - no cushions for outside seating? welcome manual said they were in a wardrobe but sadly not, the vanity in the main bedroom could do with a stool; sitting on the bed to do things was fine but quite far away from mirror and also the internet is very intermittent, Smart TV just wouldn’t connect to any of the apps ie Netflix/Iplayer. That’s just being picky and things we definitely can manage without really. It didn’t take anything away from our break and enjoyment of Holly Lodge.

  • "Beautiful countryside location just 5 minute drive from Whitby, Holly Lodge is a lovely place to stay."

    The lodge is finished to a high standard and has excellent wifi too. Was disappointed that there was no hairdryer supplied as we didn’t take one with us. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay there again.
