  • "Fantastic lodge."

Everything spotlessly clean on arrival. Lovely peaceful setting but also incredibly accessible to Whitby using the park and ride bus service across the road. Enjoyed having the Stables Inn pub so close too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback — we’re so pleased you enjoyed the peaceful setting, cleanliness, and convenient location. Delighted to hear you’d recommend us, and we’d love to welcome you back again soon! Stag lodges team Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful juniper lodge the whole experience was fantastic ."

What an immaculate lodge it was spotless well done to the young ladies who we met who cleaned ..they do a fantastic job . We had everything we needed and the hot tub really made our stay very special indeed the kitchen was well equipped ..the beds were very comfy with lovely fresh cotton linen. We were greeted with coffee tea sugar milk and biscuits on arrival and the sight of the cows in a field nearby ...plenty horses and we did notice a peacock .it was very special indeed and the whole area was so nice to wake up to in the mornings . We can highly recommend this wonderful lodge and must say Sykes holiday company has never let us down we have always felt looked after and most of all we know theres always somebody to help when needed . Whitby is picturesque with tiny shop filled streets .we visited the Abbey which was amazing visited beaches and went on a boat trip ..twice we are fish and chips from the quayside and they were cooked to perfection ...its all just a short drive from the lodge which meant we gad time to come home after tea and soak in the multicoloured jacuzzi. On our balcony what fantastic treat .we will be back .Thankyou we had a brilliant time and so did our doggie she loved every minute .

Thank you so much for your wonderful, heartfelt review — we’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Juniper Lodge! It’s lovely to know the cleanliness, comforts, and surroundings all made such a positive impression, and we’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to our housekeeping team. We’re thrilled you made the most of everything the area has to offer and that your dog had a great time too! We’d love to welcome you back again for another fantastic stay. • "Very comfortable, clean and in a great quiet location but not far from town and amenities."

Pub 2 minutes away. Park and ride across the road. Lack of cleaning products and a few kitchen items but sure they'll be addressed as relatively new. Could do with a washing machine if there was room to fit. Always helps when out for dog walks in all weathers. Sure we will be back

Thank you for your kind feedback — we’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful location and convenience to nearby amenities. We appreciate your suggestions about cleaning products, kitchen items, and the washing machine, and will definitely take those on board as we continue to improve. We’d love to welcome you back soon! • "Forst impressions when you walk in are great, and it didn't really disappoint, The lodge was nice and clean and with the added benefit of a Hot Tub."

Everything that you could need in the lodge, just seemed to be a small number of everything. 4 cups and quite large mugs too, small amount of cutlery. The living area again is clean and spacious and well laid out. The beds are relatively comfy, plenty of storage space in the bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and showers so never any queuing in the morning or last thing at night. No washing machine or none that we could see but other than that everything that you could need. Situated not too far out of Whitby, the harbour maybe a 5 min drive, 40 minute walk. The site is clean and well maintained and lovely views although no real view from the lodge itself. The only downside for us that was when we stayed there was 50 to 60 mph winds and because of the vents, which don't appear to be able to be closed in the window, it doesn't half rattle through and you can feel the chill when sitting by the windows Overall though it was a very pleasant stay, clean and tidy, nice and quiet and that was all we wanted. A quiet breakaway for a few days were we could take our dog too and Juniper Lodge ticked all the boxes.

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review — we’re so pleased Juniper Lodge provided the peaceful break you were looking for and that you found it clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We appreciate your comments on the kitchenware and vents, and we’ll definitely take a look at those to improve the experience. It’s great to hear your dog enjoyed the stay too, and we’d love to welcome you all back for another relaxing visit! Stag lodges team Property Owner

  • "Lovely property, very clean."

Just needs a few finishing touches, like adjusting the cupboard and drawers so they close and open properly, but it only opened this year so teething issues. Great location, only 5-10 drive into Whitby.

Thank you for your kind feedback — we’re really glad you enjoyed the property and location. We appreciate you pointing out the small finishing touches, and you’re absolutely right — as a newly opened site, we’re still working through a few teething issues. • "Lovely place looked quite new."

Very comfortable, clean and nicely situated. A 15 to 20 minute walk into Whitby but there’s a park and ride across the road. Could do with a coffee table as you have to put your drinks on the floor. Lack of basic cleaning products and if they’re allowing pets, could be a problem! Other than that, (which I’m sure they’ll address) it’s a lovely lodge in a very nice location.
