  • "Fabulous cottage beautifully furnished , very spacious , lovely position ."

Only two things which would make it even better 1) If you could split one of the beds into a twin 2) Better instructions of where to put the rubbish Other than that fabulous

  • "Really pleased with the holiday cottage."

Comfortable and clean, plenty of room for 2 teenagers, 2 parents and a dog. We’re very familiar with the area and really pleased with the location. We timed it when high tides and high swells occurred which was fantastic to walk down and watch the waves crashing over the road, we monitored the tide timetable to ensure we could get out and about safely. We had a great holiday, in a great location in a great property. Couldn’t fault it.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we're pleased you had a great holiday. Also, you may be interested to know that we now have new living room furniture and the whole house will be re-decorated over the winter. We hope to see you again soon at Harebell. Property Owner

  • "A lovely property in a great location."

We feel the pricing is very expensive for the size of the downstairs accommodation and the fact that for such a lovely cottage it is beginning to look a little tired in places.

  • "Our third time in this property."

Beautiful position and general location. I would say that the living room furniture is getting a bit 'tired' but generally, the house is extremely comfortable and inviting.

  • "Beautiful and well appointed property in fabulous location."

Modern building and very well equipped &comfortable. Fitted in well with the rest of Sandsend village Great for beach and walking on N Yorkshire coast. Patio area was warm and sunny in early April. Lovely walk from the back of the property to Sandsend beach. We only had one issue with the bed on 2nd floor and wondered if it had been put together properly. It was just not very comfortable. Apart from that we loved the property and would definitely book again.

Thank you, we're pleased to hear you would book again. The patio is certainly a sun trap! We've fixed some extra slats to the super king bed as there were a couple missing. Thanks for getting in touch about this. Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic stay lovely property so clean and so nice to have a decent hoover and appliances!"

Only issues we had - kettle doesn’t switch off - washer dryer broken (we did ring and inform) - underfloor heating in top floor bathroom doesn’t seem to be switching off - water incredibly hot in kitchen almost scolding coming out of tap Finally the only thing that would have made it perfect for us is twin beds in one of the king sized rooms. The kids didn’t get on so well with sharing a bed and there’s so much space in there it would make the house just that little more versatile for families staying together

We are really pleased you had a fantastic stay and thank you for all the comments. Arrangements have been made to replace the washing machine and kettle very shortly - apologies for any inconvenience this caused. We will certainly look into the other issues as well. Property Owner

About the location

SANDSEND

Whitby 2.5 miles.

Lying on Yorkshire's spectacular Heritage Coastline, Sandsend is the ideal place for a family holiday with its award winning, wide sweeping beaches, rock pools and dramatic cliffs. Indeed this part of the coastline is known locally as the Dinosaur Coast because of the many fossils found here. Children will enjoy damming the little beck where it crosses the beach to form a freshwater lagoon - great (and safe) for paddling and boating! For the more energetic the village sits on the lovely long distance Cleveland Way Trail, which offers great off-road cycling along the disused coastal railway as well as breathtaking clifftop walks. The National Trust now own the nearby headland, Sandsend Ness, where there is a delightful nature trail in the old quarry pits. A special place offering something for everyone!
