  • "Fantastic home."

All you need for a great stay and very comfortable. Great location for the SPA and easy walk to town. Also handy for the large Tesco if need be. Also recommend the new Turkish restaurant across for SPA called Geckos Owner very helpful and alsoeft a little starter pack of milk and couple other things which is a nice touch.

  • "We had a great stay at Hilda's Retreat."

The house is spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We felt at home immediately with the nice homely touches and generous welcome pack. We had no issues parking and the place is very conveniently located for walking to the prom, town centre or old town. The owner was also very responsive and easy to communicate with. We hope to return!

Thank you for your lovely feedback and hope it was a good start to the new year. All the best for 2024 and I would love to accommodate you again in the future. Best wishes Catherine Property Owner

  • "Our stay was very comfortable."

The property is very convenient for the Rail Station and a large Tesco which was very helpful for us who were using public transport. The property was immaculately presented and Catherine had thought of everything that might be needed. The welcome "goodies" made our arrival a wonderful start to a good holiday in fascinating Bridlington - our first but probably not our last.

I am really pleased you had a good stay and enjoyed both the house and Bridlington. Thank you for your kind comments. Best wishes and I hope to see you both again, Catherine Property Owner

  • "Hilda's Retreat is a superbly well equipped holiday accommodation."

Catherine keeps is exceptionally clean with all the facilities well located and a welcome information pack that explains everything. We were 2 adults and three grandchildren aged 17, 12 and 8. The place was within a very easy 5-minute walk of the town centre, beaches and harbour. Of especial value is the parking permit that enables the car to be parked very close to the premises and left there throughout our stay.

Thank you for your comments Stephen and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay in Bridlington and that the house suited your needs. Kind regards Catherine Property Owner

  • "What a lovely house!"

Clean, fluffy towels and plenty of them. Beds comfy and crisp bedlinen. Everything that you could need in the kitchen, enough of every plate, cup, bowl and cutlery to make the dishwasher worthwhile. The house was clean and smelt fresh. Recycling instructions were idiot proof. Access to Netflix and great wifi made the teenagers happy! Perfectly described on the website.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I do like to have happy guests. Best wishes, Catherine Property Owner

  • "We've had a really enjoyable holiday at Hilda's Retreat and would have no hesitation booking again."

The house is clean, comfortable and generously furnished with plenty of storage. Beds and sofas are large and comfy. Particularly impressed with how well stocked the cottage was. Plenty of everything in the kitchen and well-stocked for a young family (decent travel-cot, changing mat, loads of plastic cups and bowls). Great location - just a few minutes walk from South Beach and the harbour. Train station is just at the top of the road.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. I do like to hear that people enjoyed their stay and that you and your family had a good holiday. Take care, Catherine Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Hilda’s Retreat."

The location is a short walk to the harbour and the south side one way and the other way takes you to the large Tesco. The boys loved the three story property and had no problems running up and down all the stairs to bring things down for us that we needed to save our legs! Parking is with a permit and we couldn’t always park outside the property but always got a space in the allowable area. The dining table allowed the family to gather together for meals and seated us all (unlike some properties we have stayed in who sleep 6, but the table is only for 4 with two extra chairs put at both ends!) We did a mixture of eating out and cooking and the kitchen is well equipped. The welcome pack is a lovely addition although I’m sure the boys snaffled some of the contents before I got the see all that was in it! The owner was always easy to contact by text when I had some queries. Would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family!

The house is a mere 5 min walk from the beach and town centre. Tesco's is just at the end of the road and parking was easy with the residents' parking permit. We can happlily recommend this property and would book again when we return to Brid. :)

The accommodation was first class meeting all our needs. The house is very spacious, well decorated and very clean. The lounge has 2 large settees which are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with ample utensils and crockery. There was a very generous welcome pack which was much appreciated. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable, some of the best nights sleep we have had in a long time. Shower facilties are ideal. The loction was perfect for us, 5 minutes walk to the harbour or Spa and Tesco supermarket just across the road at the end of the street about 10 minutes walk. Catherine, the owner, organised the parking permits which worked very well for us. We will definitely return very soon
