"We had a lovely holiday in the static caravan every thing we needed was provided."
Nice touch milk in the fridge and coffee. Very comfortable bed and sofa to relax on in the evening Only trouble we had was finding the caravan on site on arrival

"The property was excellent, clean and tidy on arrival with little thoughtful extras eg tea, coffee, sugar and milk."
However the dining table top was wobbly and needs attention. It's situated in a quiet area. Our short stay was really enjoyable and would book this property again in the future.

"Upon arrival we could not get into the property as there was no key safe even though we were given a key safe code and because we arrived late evening the reception desk was shut so luckily there was a phone number for security who happened to have the key."
Also we were given the wrong phone number for the owners so could not contact them but we didn’t know this any the time as the the phone number we were given we tried to contact and were ignored. There were also no instructions on what to do with bedding and the Kay at then of our stay. I also got the impression that we could arrive anytime after 3pm especially given a key safe code but when we finally got the key it was in an envelope with my name on and note from the owners saying check in was 3pm. This should be made more clearly on the Sykes website about check in and also I don’t know why we were given a key safe code when there’s no key safe. Again this needs to be more aware of for future guests. Once in the property it was clean and comfortable and everything you could need during your stay even some small sachets of tea coffee etc. We would stay here again.

"Really enjoyed the holiday."
The only negative is that it is not stated that you need to buy passes for the entertainment. I double checked with sykes before I booked as on the website it stated there was nothing else to pay for and everything was included. When we arrived we were told we had to pay more than £100 for passes which I was told before I booked that we didnt need to buy. Not very good if you are budgeting for your holiday and find you have a lot more money to pay out out when you get there so your children can make to most of the holiday.

Situated upon Cayton Bay Holiday Centre in North Yorkshire is Forest Star, a fabulous singe-storey lodge.
Enjoying countryside views of the surrounding woodland and a proximity to the beach, whilst offering guests a range of on-site facilities, including an indoor swimming pool and restaurant, the lodge invites four guests, looking for a seascape near the North York Moors National Park.
