"Thanks for getting emergency lights switched to off until needed."
The sensor for light on stairs needs changing to only come on when person detected.

"We were made very welcome, this was our second visit and just as good as the first time."
-
"Very comfortable and clean cottage throughout."
Very nicely presented. Both bedrooms and en suites were large with plenty of storage. The shower cubicles were great! The owners were very welcoming, and also ran a lovely ice cream shop, cafe and pottery outlet. Lots of sheep, goats, hens and peacocks, and some very friendly farm cats. There was also a large seating area behind the cafe with beautiful views over the countryside, plus a children’s play area. Very enjoyable holiday.

"Had a lovely few days at Swallows Return despite the weather."
Lovely accommodation and spotless, the owners were great and couldn’t do enough for us. Loved all the animals especially the cats and such a beautiful location. Would definitely go back- there’s still so many flavours of ice cream to try!!!

"Very good accommodation."
Clean and well equipped. A bit off the beaten track but very good walking ares. A bonus is the ice cream parlour and tea room next door.
-
"Lovely property, less than a year old and very clean."
Accommodation was great for two couples. Everyone extremely friendly on the farm which has ice cream parlour, cafe, kiddies farm experience on site which is open 5 days. Only downside is that there is nowhere outside to relax.

"Great location to the roaches and close by walks, which is the reason we booked here."
Cottages is very dark on the ground floor with minimal natural light which I did not like, this would not of been an issue it the rain wasn't as bad. Facilities in cottage, no freezer which I did not realize and had ordered a food delivery with some frozen foods. No storage space to store any food, with minimal preparation area. Beds and showers were good. Ice cream from next door was lovely.

"We had an extended stay at Swallows Return due to awaiting a house move ."
The cottage provided everything we needed in a lovely location. Flo and Katy could not have been more helpful especially after I had a cycling accident and ended up on crutches - the cottage catered well for people on crutches!! The ice cream is delicious & well worth a visit just for that!! Thank you

"We loved our stay so much that we extended our visit and hope to come back again"

"We had a lovely time at Swallows Return over the first May bank holiday weekend."
We were two couples and we thought it was perfect for our stay. It is on a working farm, with cows, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, peacocks, cats, Shetland ponies and a donkey. It also had a tea room and ice cream parlour, and a pottery studio. It was in a lovely location, and the family who owned the farm / tearoom / pottery studio were amazing and made us feel so welcome. There are some great walks in the area and Buxton is 15 mins away. We would come again!

"We had a lovely New Year break at Swallows Return and Florence the owner was very pleasant and helpful to us."
We stayed with our friends and we were cosy and warm for the whole stay. The ground floor of the property itself is small but well designed and was spotlessly clean and newly refurbished with 2 large bedrooms and modern ensuite shower rooms above. We were able to explore the immediate area and stunning landscape on foot. We also used the cafe on site and had the most amazing ice cream which is locally produced.

"Had a brilliant 3 weeks stay at the cottage in between moving house."
Florence and Katie made us very welcome. Gorgeous location at Blaze Farm with the added bonus of a cafe for ice cream and afternoon tea. Cottage very cosy and warm despite the freezing weather. The bedrooms are spacious with great en-suite shower rooms. The bed is the most comfortable we have ever slept in on holiday. Loved seeing the goats, donkey and other animals. Perfect stay for us.

"Thak you for your warm and friendly welcome."
We much enjoyed our stay at Blaze Farm and being able to walk straight from the door in such beautiful countryside. The Swallow's Return was just as described and perfect for an autumn break. The only helpful addition would be a larger saucepan.

"When walking in Swallows Return it was nice inside for decoration and clean but shops was around 20 or more mins away."
Only one sofa which was just enough to fit 3 people on which needed more seating within the living area. The table and chairs in the living area was poor as these was outdoor seats and was hard to sit on. Beds wasn't very comfortable at all and pillows found lumpy. There is no washing machine which is needed and no freezer only a fridge so you would have to keep going out to top up food if staying 1 week or more. The utensils was poor when cooking did not have anything to drain off vegetables with and there was other utensils missing as well. The most thing was very bad there was no thermostat anywhere to put your heating on so there was no heating only a bathroom radiator and upstairs underfloor heating. There was supposed to under floor heating in the living area but again no controls for that either. As there was no heating we had to sit in with our coats on as it was so cold. The Landlady when we got there said she had put the heating on but we did not see nor did she tell us how that worked so I guess she operated the heating from her end as again no controls anywhere in the building apart from in the bathroom areas which wasn't sending out any form of heat at all. Over all would not go back to this place as wasn't impressed. :-( Which is a shame as it partly spoilt our holiday. The only one thing I can say it was very clean and the ice cream is something to die for, but apart from that 2 stars for me.

"This is a little gem of a place to stay on Blaze Farm ."
The accomodation has an excellent Kitchen diner with two spacious bedrooms each with ensuite walk in showers and toilets. The Beds are comfortable and the place is quiet in the early mornings and evenings. The adjacemnt Ice Cream Parlour and Tea rooms are both very handy additions on the farm and have very tasty delights of their own. Its idealy situated for easy access to walking ,cycling and touring routes leading to all parts of the Peak District and a lovely setting to return to and a the end of the day with very helpful owners and staff .

"Swallows Return was a very clean and comfortable property, in a great location."
Fantastic views from the property, and the farm itself is a really lovely place to say. Owners were helpful and on hand if required. Beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen was nicely equipped for a short stay. We really enjoyed our 3-night stay, and would love to head back in the future as there's plenty to explore around the area. Very easy to drive out of the property for walking routes and to supermarkets if need be. Really enjoyed the ice cream on site, would have loved a freezer so we could buy some to have in too!

"We had a fabulous time ."
We were made to feel very wet. The food in the cafe was really excellent and of course the ice cream too. The animals are wonderful and we enjoyed the walks too. We will certainly recommend Blaze Farm and Swallows Return to family and friends. The accommodation was very comfortable too. Many thanks to Katie and Florence and all the family too.

"What a little Gem of a place."
Excellent location, fantastic facilities, really nice owners that where very helpful in recommending some great restaurants and places to walk etc. Perfect for families, couples or a pair of couples as each has their own bedroom and bathroom. Having an amazing tea room on site was also a big bonus and as for the ice cream parlour, well all I can say is i've never eaten so much ice cream. I would really recommend this accommodation and will be booking a return trip again in the summer.
