  • "+ The property is surprisingly spacious, in the main and has good quality furniture and fittings and is well-equipped."

It was also immaculately clean. It has (nearly) everything needed for a comfortable stay and the courtyard is an added bonus. I didn't notice road noise and there are some lovely walks, nearby. I had a lovely stay, overall and make the following observations which would have made my stay perfect. - I banged my head, twice (and I'm only 5'4"): once on the beam above the bed and once on the stair post which extends into the kitchen area below. There is very little storage space for food (maybe re-jig the contents of the cupboard above the sink), hence me using the shelf below the stairwell then banging my head when backing out of the space. Maybe a 'mind your head' warning could be displayed, or a warning added to the handbook. -There is no way to over-ride the heating (that I could find) - it became quite chilly at times due to the stone flooring and construction. - Check-out time of 9am is also not very convenient for guests (well, me), given that check-in is not until 4pm. To me being on holiday shouldn't mean an early start, tidying up and a rush to vacate on your final day. 10am would be much more civilised.

  • "The property was ideal for our requirements and to a very high standard."

Parking was easy and very close to the property itself. There is a front area that is totally enclosed which was perfect for allowing our dog to go outside, knowing she could not wander off. We met the owners who were extremely helpful and friendly. There was nothing not to like and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a break in that part of the world.

For us it was just a bit too quiet . It was very peaceful but for us that meant a drive out to shops, eateries and pubs and as the weather was wonderful but very hot it just spoilt it a little. Would definitely recommend to others though.

  • "A lovely little place which suited us adequately as well as geographically."

Good access to local and main roads/routes. Well equipped and comfortable. Clean, but some cob webs present here and there and previous occupants had left a make up item down by the side of the bed. Sofa had some staining, but in fairness it is advertised as pet friendly accommodation. We would though politely suggest a Deep Clean of the property and feel this would fix some issues. We read the reviews before booking and cobwebs were mentioned as well as the wooden beam above the bed. My partner and I are of Short Stature, so this didn’t bother us too much, but it may affect other people’s stay if they are taller. All in all a pleasant stay, a small place, but then we were out and about great deal. Very friendly owners who were also interesting and knowledgeable regards local tourist attractions. Their six year old lad was a lovely, friendly child who chatted to us when we were around.

Hottest day velux windows closed with no means of opening my 80 yr old husband had to stand on the bed. 2. What a challenge the bedroom is - beam over bed 1ft over pillow height -ouch and so little space side of bed. 3.Plates and dishes in high inaccessible cupboard for short people 4.
