"A lovely flat, in a great location."
The rooms are a good size, cozy, thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Everything needed for a short break was there, and instructions/suggestions clear and helpful. Communication with the owners was easy and welcoming. The Christmas tree and welcome hamper were a lovely touch, and very much appreciated. We would highly recommend this property.
"Lovely spacious, comfortable flat with everything you would need."
Set in the centre of Aberdour, making it easy to walk down to the harbour, which is beautiful, or just a few metres to the Castle. Shops are literally on your doorstep, and Silversands beach less than a five minute drive, where there is a cafe perched above the beach, already making plans to return!
"We arrived one and a half hours early, contacted the owner to see if we could drop off our bags, but we didn't get a reply."
32 High Street is a very comfortable property, well laid out, well apportioned, and clean. There are two single beds to the rear, and a double bed to the front of the property. The property is one floor up from ground level with a combination key box at ground level and one at the front door. We used the one at the front door, it could do with a bit more time on the timer light. The apartment is well apportioned and is heated by gas. The system is straight forward and easy to use. There was a well stocked welcome pack on the kitchen table which was very much appreciated, thank you. The living room is comfortable with a wide based sofa. There is a fireplace, but it's only for decoration. There's a very good selection of DVD's which came in very useful for the wet days/evenings. The bathroom is a good size, well apportioned, bright, comfortable, and a good size. The double bedroom (which we used, at the front) is well apportioned, and very comfortable. Overall the apartment is well stocked, warm, comfortable, and in a good location. We would stay here again.
Easily found and the check in was seamless. This is our second visit to this property. The apartment is fully equipped for a family with everything you would need for a week or fortnight. The beds are very comfy and there is very little noise from the road. Instant hot water, good shower, dishwasher and washing machine very convenient. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m up in Fife.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and for being such great guests. We would be very happy to have you back! Property Owner
"Just as advertised, a lovely place to stay which I have no hesitation in recommending, and hope to visit again."
Thank you Caroline. We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you come to stay again. Property Owner
"A lovely clean property in a great location."
A welcome treat is a thoughtful addition. Thank you so much!
"32 high street was such a lovely holiday home."
It was home-from-home and we really enjoyed our stay. The owners reached out to us before our holiday which was very nice and much appreciated.
"A lovely apartment, extremely well equipped and in a good location."
The proximity to the railway station was very convenient and made trips in to Edinburgh very easy. We will return next year I’m sure!
"Overall, this is a very well appointed apartment."
The kitchen has everything you need although only 3 dishwasher tablets seemed rather mean. The sitting room was comfortable although the TV was rather small. The large bed was comfortable but the single beds were very narrow and rather uncomfortable probably better suited to children. The weather was quite hot and we would have liked to keep the windows open but this was impossible in the evening due to the VERY loud noise from the two nearby pubs. However hardly any noise was detectable with the windows and shutters firmly closed. There is no very close parking but the station car park is fairly close by and there was always space there. We would happily return to this property if we ever wanted to stay in the area again.
"Lovely property and very well equipped Comfortable and as described in the listing."
Would recommend as a lovely place to stay.
"We had a lovely week in this well equipped comfortable property."
Everything you might need was supplied....spare phone chargers, batteries etc. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise with delicious treats. The owners obviously care about their property and that a good holiday is had by anyone using it. Lots of local information supplied, Silver Sands must be Scotlands best kept secret, we were blessed with fine weather so spent several days just relaxing there.
"I had a lovely stay at 32 High Street, the flat had everything you could think you might need and more."
It was really comfortable, and ideal for completing the Fife Coastal Path. Having the train station so close was also another advantage, and the car park there always had plenty of spaces to park.
"Charming flat, very nice towels and bedding, beautiful and very well equipped kitchen."
Nice shops, Cafés and Bistro just across the road, lovely walks to the beaches. Most helpful hosts who had put a wonderful welcome chest on the kitchen table. I would love to come back any time.
"Great property, and very handily places for amenities."
The station was only 5 minute walk and the beaches were amazing.
"Just wonderful, a long journey but a treasure awaits."
"Great place to stay."
Spotless and very well equipped. The beds are very comfie and the shower is great. Would recommend this place to anyone.
"In all my years of cottage renting number 32 High Street has been the best thought out for facilities."
Charlotte and Robert have made sure that there was everything you might want and the welcome pack was also a lovely touch. No 32 is well placed for the train and drives to east fife, Perth and a little further afield if you wish- we couldn’t have wished for a better stay!!
"We really enjoyed staying at the flat as it was warm, well equipped and well placed for exploring Fife."
We took the advice of the owners and went to every place they recommended and consequently we fully discovered the delights of the area. Loved the Kelpies and the Fakirk Wheel in particular. A super flat that made for a super holiday. Thank you
"Can't fault the property in any way."
Lovely location and handy for getting around.
"We had a lovely stay at 32 high street in Aberdour."
Everything was thought through with care from the dvds suitable for everyone to the spare phone cables in the kitchen drawer! The welcome pack was a nice touch awaiting us upon arrival. Communication from the owner has been spot on and the information folder was very useful. We found out about the beautiful local beaches from this, which provided two full days out. Our kids loved the local park, which we visited quite a few times, including before departure! The property was clean, tidy, light and airy. Thank you. We hope to visit again in the future.
"Great property in good location."
The little extras like have ice ready made, milk in the fridge, cleaning products, basic cupboard essentials makes a real difference and was very much appreciated. We would certainly recommend to others and will use again if in the area.
"Lovely, extremely well equipped, home from home!"
"The cottage was decorated to a high standard throughout."
The kitchen was very large indeed and was an ideal place for a family meal or a place to sit and play board games in the afternoon sunshine. It had all the facilities that I would expect of a top of the range holiday rental.
"Very handy location for exploring Fife, Edinburgh and beyond in a beautiful village with two stunning beaches and coastal walks."
Great facilities and very helpful, friendly hosts
"Everything was supplied to the highest level of quality, cleanliness, and thoughtfulness."

We really enjoyed our stay. Owners very responsive. Nice local shops and cafe, parking is not outside but nearby and freely available, easy stroll.

"Welcome pack of tea and coffee milk etc after a delayed and very long journey was just so needed!"
Such a comfortable and well equipped apartment. Highly recommend. Short walk to a lovely beach and good access to Fife Coastal Path. Near a lovely local Bakery, Pharmacy, Newsagents, Post Office and Delicatessen.
"This is a really lovely flat in the centre of Aberdour close to the railway station and 5 minutes walk from a small beach and 10 minutes walk from the main beach."
The flat was really well appointed - fabulous main bedroom - with plenty of room to relax in from the comfortable living room to the large kitchen with its window seat. We had a great week in this friendly little village using the flat as our base and the owners were lovely and welcoming when I contacted them.

From the street, head through a timber gate and into a walkway before passing the pretty outdoor seating area, perfect for two guests to use near the shared entrance, before ascending stone steps to your private front door.
Take the first right after coming through the front door and find the bright and open kitchen/diner, with a table and chairs taking centre stage and a pretty outlook of the neighbour's private garden (unfortunately no access) from the window with a window seat, along with a great range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Relax in the sitting room at the end of the hall, furnished with a sofa and armchair to unwind into your evening as you enjoy a favourite show or new release on the Smart TV, whilst a vintage tiled fireplace adds character to the setting.
Freshen up in the bathroom shared between the two bedrooms, complete with a bath and overhead shower, as well as a heated towel rail.
Retire to the master bedroom after a busy day, featuring an attractive armchair and a king-size bed, with a large dressing table and mirror, and a lovely view of the high street below, whilst the second bedroom boasts two single beds, which can be zipped/linked together to make a king-size bed.
When you need anything from essentials to ingredients, simply step outside and discover the village's amenities on your doorstep, with a Post Office combined with a village delicatessen found opposite the flat, along with two local pubs, a bakery and a cafe.

About the location
Edinburgh 18 miles; Stirling 30 miles; St Andrews 36 miles; Loch Leven 14 miles.
The historic coastal village of Aberdour sits across the Firth of Forth from Edinburgh with its main street just inland and connected by narrow lanes to the coastal part of the village. Originally built up around the harbour where the Dour Burn runs into the River Forth, the village was essentially in fact two: Wester Aberdour and Easter Aberdour, however the connection was made with the coming of the railway at the end of the 19th century. What remains of Aberdour Castle is one of the oldest surviving stone castles in Scotland dating from the 12th century. Much added to over the centuries by the Douglases, the site is now managed by Historic Scotland and visitors can enjoy the walled garden and terraces and the distinctive beehive shaped dovecot. Known by the Victorians as the Fife Riviera, the secluded Silver Sands and Black Sands beaches have always been favourites and remain so to this day. The village holds a popular annual festival in late July and early August, including cultural and musical highlights, as well as a regatta and a run. With many lovely walks and a golf course, as well as excellent train links to both Edinburgh and further north into Fife, Aberdour remains an attractive and excellently located getaway destination.
