  • "We have had a delightful week in Star Cottage."

It was a lovely cosy place, not huge but comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The grounds are really nice too, with a sea veiw from front field! We enjoyed a coffee at our table and chairs at the front. Would definately recommend it.

  • "Loved our time at Star cottage."

The high level of cleanliness was exceptional. The cottage was well furnished and was cosy and welcoming. All facilities were in excellent condition and easy to use. The central heating was a bonus for those cold autumn evenings. Really comfortable bed provided a great nights sleep. The views provided from the outside areas were spectacular and were enjoyed with a welcoming brew and slice of complimentary cake. Ideally located for trips into Saundersfoot, Tenby and exploring the local area. Great place to stay and highly recommend. P M Baker

The landlord was very friendly. Our holiday was very relaxing which what we both needed. Although the cottage was by a main road it wasnt a problem. We would certainly stay there again and book through you again.

If the bedroom area was a little larger it would have been perfect as I had a little trouble getting in/out of bed.

There was also access to a washing machine in the farmhouse. The owners were very attentive and made sure any needs were met. The cottage is close to a main road, which we knew when booking, but the traffic noise did not disturb us at anytime.

The bedroom was a little bit small the toilet door could only open a short way before hitting the bed also getting into bed on one side was very tight you have to squeeze against the radiator to get in apart from that everything was fine

.cottage clean and good parking facilities ( which is a bonus in the Tenby/Saundersfoot area.) we enjoyed our stay....weather a bit iffy, but that is outside anyone’s ability to control. We love this beautiful corner of the U.K.

  • "The cottage is in a great location for Tenby and Saundersfoot it’s very bijou especially the bedroom and bathroom you need to be nimble to negotiate both."

There’s a very busy road and junction just outside the cottage which is noisy I can imagine it gets a lot worse in summer months. It could also do with a bit of a re decorate. That said for what we paid it was value for money and the owners are very nice and offered us an extra night free of charge as we paid for a week but couldn’t get there till the Monday which was very generous of them.

  • "While we expected a small cottage, we were surprised at just how very small it was, with next to no storage space."

The literature really did not prepare us for that. The bedroom was so small that it was very difficult to manoeuvre round the bed. The door to the tiny ensuite could only be partly opened, and the door itself could not be closed at all - it badly needs planing a bit off the edge to enable it to fit. My main complaint is with Sykes Cottages. The endless emails - several every week since we made our booking - have become very irritating and, I would have thought, counterproductive for the company. Having booked one holiday with you this year I am hardly likely to want to book others with you immediately. I have never encountered this irritation from any other company that I have ever booked with, and I do not intend ever to book with you again.
