  • "The Seed Shed was easy to find due to the very accurate directions provided, there was plenty parking outside and it was also easy to gain access."

On arrival all of the radiators, apart from one, were turned off so it was a bit chilly but once they had been turned on it became warm within an hour, throughout our stay the heating was more than adequate for the size of building and we had ample hot water. The nicely furnished bedroom was big with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed, however a big downside was the lack of a mirror and this posed a problem when drying hair. The only mirror in the entire property was in the bathroom and it could not be reached with a hairdryer. The kitchen was well equipped but more glasses would be good - there was only 2 wine glasses so we had to keep washing them. The previous occupants had left a note stating that the dishwasher was jammed shut but in reality it just need a very strong pull on the rather small handle. The bathroom was large with had big fluffy towels and a good rainfall shower, the cradle for the handset had been broken at some point so it was not possible to reposition it easily. The obvious main attraction was the big open main sitting room with views over the fields, a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun (there was also outside seating but it was too cold to use it in April). We liked the retro furniture and the way the historic elements of the property had been retained but mixed with modern glass and metal. In general it was very clean but there were a few cobwebs (although it's possible that they arrived during our stay, inevitably in the countryside there were some spiders inside). Wi-fi was fast enough for our needs and for streaming on the TV. Although it is located close to a road we had no problem with road noise, in the evening there wasn't much traffic at all. There are 2 very good pubs within 4 miles and both the local attractions and the sea are just a short distance away. We would certainly consider staying again but only if the lack of mirrors is addressed.

  • "I was under the impression that the patio was secure - it isn’t and it is very close to a busy road."

Luckily my dog is old and won’t wander far but I wouldn’t want to risk a more lively dog. The windows around the sitting room leave one feeling a bit vulnerable and could do with blinds. A mirror (which appears to have been asked for before) would be a good addition as would a larger tv which is far too small for such a big room. Having said that the property is well maintained and furnished. A very nice welcome pack.

  • "A lovely stay, the place was toddler and dog friendly and nearly everything had been thought of."

Maybe mention you don't have a cafetiere in the listing. We were very inspired by the space and will use some ideas in our own self build. A really comfortable, practical, and beautiful place. Good location to nice areas of Suffolk.

Thank you for your feedback, we’re glad you had a lovely time. I didn’t realise the cafetière wasn’t there, it has now been replaced with a new one. Property Owner

  • "On first impressions the Seed Store is a well designed and modern place to stay."

However, the advert says it has "some" road noise. Well, the road noise continued all night and was difficult to sleep (heavy traffic at 3am!!!). The shower is very slippy when used and is a real hazard especially if you have mobility issues like my wife. The mattress on the bed was too small for the frame. I had to wash the pans and kitchen utensils before use. There are no blinds to the living area which makes privacy non existant and also cannot keep the area cool. The tv is really small and useless in such a big space. Certainly will not be going back there!!!

  • "The directions are the worst I have ever encountered."

The previous occupants also had trouble. We spent nearly an hour before ringing you and finding it. If you give landmarks you also need to put distances between them. It didn’t help that the actual property sign had branches obscuring it. Saying you look for High Ash Farm but not saying that is where you turn off the main road. The property was very good although the pictures gave a very false impression of the openness outside the house showing cattle in the field, you cannot see any fields as the hedges are 2m high.

  • "Our 5th stay- keep coming back as it offers so much variety throughout the seasons- the Seed Store adapts itself - lovely bedroom with so comfy mattress, view from the window over the wilding fields is exceptional."

Kitchen is so spacious and easy to use. I love the Eames chair - perfect for reading, relaxing and even watching the occasional TV

  • "The heating needs sorting!"

We visited in September 2022 and we had to get someone to come and look at it and it's still the same, you can't turn radiator in lounge off at all so it's so hot! Also need a new frying pan as everything sticks

  • "We absolutely loved the seed store."

Everything you might need is there. We could’ve happily lived there. Our dog loved it too. We saw Hares in the fields and pheasants wandering around on the patio. Yes, there’s a bit of road noise but it made no difference to us. The only issue an it wasn’t a show stopper was the heating; when we thought we’d turned it down and off on the controls, it kept coming on.
