  • "Brook House is a great, home from home cottage."

Super comfortable, well equipped and spacious. We loved our weekend at Brook House and can recommend the Victoria pub in the village for Sunday lunch. We hope to stay again.

  • "What a wonderful haven for a family made homeless by Storm Babetand the subsequent floods in the Deben valley."

Warm, dry, beautifully appointed and close to home. Brook House has been our refuge in a tough time.

  • "We had a wonderful week in your beautiful home, we appreciate all the little touches and thoughts to make this a very comfortable stay."

  • "Really comfortable house which had excellent fixtures and fittings and provided us with a great holiday."

Art work made for a wonderful 'gallery' and really added to the appeal of the house. We were concerned that the Chubb lock on the front door didn't match the plate, so couldn't be locked. We also had to buy coat hangers as there was a shortage in the wardrobe. Couldn't get the hang of the toaster, which appeared to be stuck in bagel mode. Google couldn't provide an answer! These minor negatives didn't detract from the holiday, however.

  • "We had such a lovely visit!"

Thank you so much for having us - a group of old uni friends from all over the UK coming together to catch up and celebrate 30th birthdays! Looking forward to returning one day!

  • "What a delightful escape to enjoy some fresh air and great company at your gorgeous home."

We had the best time sitting by the cozy fire, enjoying snacks from Huttons nearby, and getting to spend time with good friends. We were all loving long walks, long talks, and plenty of rest and relaxation.

  • "A lovely well equipped property tastefully decorated."

Very spacious bedrooms although there was 2 bathrooms (one upstairs & one downstairs) did feel it needed an en-suite or third toilet. Hot water too hot. 2 lounges but each lounge not enough seats or big enough for 8 adults. Kitchen/dining room great. Didn’t find the table tennis table! However really enjoyed our stay over the New Year with walks straight from the property lovely part of England.

Thank you for your feedback. It is wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed your holiday at the beautiful Brook House. We have passed your feedback on to the property owner who has confirmed that as a result they have ordered new sofas for the property to boost the level of seating and comfort. We hope to welcome you back to Brook House again soon! Property Owner

  • "Television room was very uncomfortable even though we under occupied the property."

The other lounge without a TV had very uncomfortable seating. The games room was not as listed. Dog and cat bowls left out was off putting in the kitchen. Too many personal belongings in the property

Thank you for your review of Brook House. We are pleased that you enjoyed your break away here, and are happy to confirm that the owner has taken all of your feedback on board, including ordering an incredibly comfortable looking new sofa for the television room! We hope to welcome you back to Brook House again soon. Property Owner

About the location

FRAMLINGHAM

Saxmundham 7.5 miles; Aldeburgh 14 miles; Southwold 20 miles

The beautiful market town of Framlingham is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) and has been known since Anglo Saxon times, when it consisted of several manors which William the Conqueror (1066-1087) presented to Roger Bigod. The town is of particular interest as it has a large castle and mere which was built between 1190 and 1210. The town is surrounded by lovely villages to explore and has two of the oldest working post boxes and one of Britain’s smallest houses, with the footprint measuring 6.1x2.2m! Today, the town offers a number of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and it is also home to Framlingham Summer Arts Festival.
