  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heanor House over Christmas."

It has been renovated to a high standard and was very clean, warm and well equipped with all that we needed for our stay. The house is very spacious with the benefit of an extra sitting room on the first floor and is well located within a few minutes walk of Leyburn town centre as well as country walks. Perfect for a family break.

  • "An easy, relaxing place to stay."

Beautiful kitchen, lots of of space and comfort. Good parking, everything essential was there waiting for us. The welcome pack was great. Local shops served us well. A washing line might be a good addition although I’m not sure where it would go.

Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful feedback, which we really appreciate. It sounds like you had a lovely stay. We will have a think about the suggestion of a washing line! Property Owner

  • "Heanor House is fantastic we were very lucky to find this break available."

The house is so characterful and large. We travelled as a family of 6 plus our daughters friend and it was so comfortable. The property is extremely clean everywhere and it has everything you could possibly imagine or require. The kitchen is very well stocked, the dining room has an array of games and books with a large table for everyone. The upstairs sitting room has a fantastic view. The rear yard is perfect for sitting out and there is an apple tree with lights in. Everyone in our party loved the deep freestanding bath. The owner of the property had left a personal note which we loved. There is nothing I could possible suggest to improve this accommodation. It takes a few minutes to walk into the village centre with places to eat and takeaways. We stayed here to be close to the Forbidden Corner which we highly recommend as it is a short drive. We also recommend the shawl walk - you access this near the town hall and there is an excellent park for kids and football field. Thank you Heanor House.

Thank you for taking the time to offer this enthusiastic and comprehensive feedback. It really is lovely to hear that you have enjoyed our house so much; this is what we hope for for all our guests. Please do come and stay again. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house."

It is immaculate with lots of space for three generations to move around and relax. The views from the front are spectacular. Only a two min walk to Leyburn town with all its pubs, shops and restaurants. The house is situated on a main road but the traffic cannot be heard when you are inside the house as the windows are all double glazed. We would definitely return to Heanor House - we loved it.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are delighted you had such a wonderful time at Heanor House, and enjoyed the views across Wensleydale. We look forward to welcoming you back sometime! Property Owner

This grand, three-storey home has a traditional interior, with gas coal effect fires and olive green and neutral tones throughout to mirror the countryside setting.

Locate the off-road parking space via a private lane to the rear, before entering a sheltered walled patio and garden leading to the rear entrance into the garden room.

Alternatively, enter the property through the front gate, through a manicured garden to enter the tiled entrance hall where you can leave your muddy boots.

To your right, there is a charming dining room to savour mealtimes together, as you recount the adventures of the day.

The spacious kitchen features fitted units with a Rangemaster cooker, gas hob, American fridge/freezer, microwave, and dishwasher to ease your self-catered stay.

Head out to the rear walled garden to sip a cold beverage on the cushioned rattan furniture.

On warm summer evenings relax beneath the festooned lights in the apple tree.

When the day cools, head inside and upstairs to the first floor sitting room where you can admire views over Wensleydale and Middleham Castle.

As the night draws in curl up in this homely room for a film night on the Smart TV.

The first floor hosts a shower room to freshen up and two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a full size single, suitable both for a child or adult.

Venture up to the second floor to discover a further two bedrooms, a king, a zip/link double bedroom which can also be offered as a twin room.

Enjoy, also on this floor, a luxurious bathroom with a claw foot bath.

Heanor House is just a short stroll away from the heart of Leyburn, home to a handful of cafes, perfect for a hearty breakfast and peppered with quirky gift stores for a souvenir as well as the famous Tennants Auction House offering varied exhibitions and high quality food.

Get back to nature with a trip out to Harmby Waterfall or Wensley Waterfall and immerse yourself in the past with a stop at the remains of Middleham Castle.

There are also numerous stunning walks to be enjoyed in Wensleydale, Coverdale and Swaledale.
