Star attraction is Hereford Cathedral, featuring an extraordinary Chained Library and the world-renowned Mappa Mundi, a spiritual and geographical world map drawn on calf skin around 1300 AD. As well as being a place of worship, the cathedral has a musical tradition, with lunchtime concerts, evening recitals and the legendary Three Choirs Festival every three years.

Hereford's other prime landmark is High Town, where you'll find the main market square (general goods, crafts, antiques and local produce) and The Old House, a splendid, black and white museum depicting life in Jacobean times. Other interesting museums include the Cider Museum and the Waterworks Museum.
