Just Show Me Cottages Near Bude
For a fabulous family holiday try a cottage rental in Bude, a popular resort on Cornwall's northern coast close to the Devon border.
Beautiful beaches abound! When the tide's out, expect vast swathes of golden sands, alluring visitors, painters and photographers. Take a dip in the open-air sea pool or hire a beach hut at Summerleaze. Relax in the seafront café at Crooklets while the kids play pirates and surfers roll the waves. A toddler-friendly path links the two beaches crossing the Summerleaze Downs - great for pitch and putt, Frisbees and kites. If 'Scamp' has come long, head for Sandymouth or Northcott Mouth, two idyllic National Trust beaches a little off-the-beaten track where dogs are warmly welcomed.
Other family favourites include feeding the ducks on the river and spotting wildlife along the canal towpath, while rainy day adventures include Splash swimming pool with flumes, waves and adjacent leisure centre with ten-pin bowling and more.
But bringing the family isn't compulsory on a Bude cottage holiday. You may have come for the superb walking and cycling in the region, with the South West Coastal Path, abundance of country lanes and links to the Camel and Tarka Trails. Or perhaps you've chosen a holiday home in Bude for the golf or fishing.
