  • "Had a fantastic week at North Lodge:) Cottage is a very warm , cosy ,spacious cottage The cottage is very well equipped and using items such as Spode ."

The location is amazing and although on a farm is very peaceful. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular from North Lodge as is the night sky . The garden is biodiverse thus allowing nature into it ie pheasants, rabbits etc . The cottage is clearly loved and a lot of care has gone into it with wonderful finishing touches . There are many things I loved about North Lodge but in particular we didnt have to do anything as we went in ie turn on heating, fridge etc it was already done . Thanks to the owners for our wonderful ,perfect week at North Lodge where we spent celebrating 40 years together . We ll be back :) Ps the key isnt under the mat so please dont go round the garden looking for it . Whoops

  • "North lodge is NOT what you see on the sykes website."

The pictures do not reflect the true conditions . The car parking had various rubbish in the driveway, when i arrived the property was very cold . owners had not bothered to heat it up for our arrival..not sure when the property was last rented out prior to my stay but there was a musty/damp smell. 3 windows in the living room could NOT be opened .we lasted 15 hours and had to leave due toone of my family suffering an asthmatic attack. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PROPERTY ..and this is my 9th property i haverented from SYKES...sykes had tried to contact the owner but have not been succssful.

  • "This was exactly what we were hoping for."

The cottage was very well equipped and the view was superb. The location was easy to reach, remote yet only 7 miles from the nearest town. We would book again without hesitation and well done to the owners for keeping the authenticity of the lodge.

  • "A special place to stay in a very comfortable house with beautiful views across the farm and the countryside beyond."

The house has been well equipped for guests and we especially enjoyed the luxurious feel to the bedrooms. The long, deep bath was great too, particularly after long walks exploring the southern Cairngorms. Thank you for a friendly welcome and relaxing stay.

Delighted that you enjoyed your stay, thank you for your review. Property Owner
