  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ty Cerrig."

We found it well equiped and very comfortable. We spent every evening sitting out in the secure garden at the back of the property which was perfect for the dog too. The bedrooms were very comfortable too and so quiet.

  • "We loved the cottage."

It was fabulously furnished, beautifully clean and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The views and garden were an absolute delight. This trip, it was just my husband and I that stayed at the cottage and there was plenty of room for us and we loved the breakfast bar, which look directly into the garden. We spent several hours just watching the birdlife in the garden and would recommend taking some binoculars. We would definitely return and would like bring other family members, but felt the cottage would struggle to accommodate 6 comfortably with only 4 seats at the breakfast bar and a separate table and bench in the lounge to seat a further 2 people. Personally, we like to have family meals at the same table, but this is trivial and we'd probably set up a rota to sit at the breakfast bar :) . We had everything we could possibly need and loved the goodies that were provided, thank you. We managed to spend a lovely and unexpected afternoon in the garden, albeit togged up as it was the beginning of March.... We couldn't miss the opportunity, of a sunny afternoon in the wonderful garden with glass of wine. This would be an all round 5 stars for us, but we didn't expect the cottage to be part of small complex of cottages and slightly marked it down for accuracy of listing only, but this truly didn't spoil our experience. Honestly, this cottage is stunning.

  • "Beautifully appointed cottage with wooden beams and stone wall features."

Extremely comfortable and cosy, with a roaring wood burner. The ranch style patio offered wonderful alfresco dinning, with the back drop the Snowdonia mountains range.

  • "A lovely cottage that has everything you need for a perfect holiday."

Location is great for facilities, and for visiting Anglesey or the mainland. The fact that it is dog friendly was a big issue and our pooch loved the garden there. Beautiful views to mountains and lovely outdoor covered terrace. We hope to return. Thankyou

The kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. Bedrooms large and clean. Cottage perfectly positioned to explore both Anglesey and also Snowdownia. Quiet, off the beaten track, but a short drive to facilities. Relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Larger than expected garden and adjacent countryside footpath were perfect for our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed the property's outdoor space and verandah seating area which overlooked stunning Snowdonia. We enjoyed our holiday so much that we have already rebooked for 2022!

  • "Very well equipped house Great kitchen facilities for cooking Amazing views of Snowdonia from the garden Garden deck and seating areas are lovely Very comfortable living room with burner."

Felt bigger than it appeared in the pictures, we turned the dining table around and it wasn't obstructing the walk way into the room Spacious bedrooms, very comfortable beds Nice surroundings, there are a few other houses out the front of Ty Cerrig but it's still very private from the back / living space Really well located to get around the whole island

Beautiful location for dog walking and amazing views of Snowdonia, but only 10 minutes drive to Waitrose...............what more could anyone wish for?

  • "The cottage was perfect for the three of us - all adults."

It has a very high spec and is in a peaceful location with fabulous views of Snowdonia. Anglesey itself is great to explore with a varied coastal path for walkers and wonderful beaches for families.

  • "Ty Cerrig is a super cottage with wonderful views from the garden."

All was of a high standard in a character cottage. It was fine for us (parents with two teenagers) but, although the property can sleep six, the lounge and dining facilities would be cramped for more than four people.

About the location

Menai Bridge 2 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Affectionately known by the locals as Llanfair PG, the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogogoch, also known by its shortened name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has the longest place name in Europe. It was artificially named back in 1860 as a publicity stunt for the railway station and translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave". Situated close to the Menai Straits, just off the Britannia Bridge, Llanfair PG has much to offer families. After having your photo taken next to the village nameplate at the railway station, head into the popular visitors centre for local tourist information. A short walk past the octagonal Toll House, towards Menai Bridge, will bring you to the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column which, for a small fee, you can climb the 115 steps to the top for superb views of the countryside and coastline. Nelson’s Monument can be easily reached on the banks of the Menai Straits, passing St Mary’s Church on the way. With several good pubs with restaurants, craft and gift shops and cafes, plus the beautiful Anglesey coastline within walking distance, there is plenty to entertain you all year round.
