  • "Amazing stay, we felt so at home here we didn't want to leave!"

It's pretty much our perfect home. I was worried it would be hard to find based on some reviews but it wasn't at all. Track is an old farm track so yes is little rough but it's what I'd expect for this sort of property so no issues. My car is fairly low and was fine, just need to watch where driving! We took advantage of the breakfast bar in the kitchen for the views out. As it was winter, we didn't get to take advantage of the outside deck or garden much but hopefully we'll be back next year in better weather. House is really well equipped and we got a food order for our first morning booked in with food essentials, it worked perfectly. Delivery driver even offered recommendations for where to eat with our 9 month old! A fab stay, we felt so relaxed and really enjoyed our adventures around Anglesey. We shall be back :-)

  • "An extremely beautiful home which offers top quality comfort with absolutely everything you will need to enjoy yourselves tremendously."

We stayed during stormy weather so sadly could not fully enjoy the garden and terrace but everything was there to make our holiday simply perfect. We would love to come back and experience even more of this beautiful home and the island of Anglesey which offers us everything we seek in a family holiday. This place really is superb

  • "A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location."

Well presented with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. The only concern I found was the number of deep pot-holes along the lane leading to the cottage - not great for a car with low-profile tyres - more suitable for 4x4s or SUVs.

  • "“Perfect In Every Way” This was our first stay at Ty Cerrig and it was wonderful - the cottage with the outstanding views was so welcoming on our arrival and that continued as we opened the door."

The standard of cleanliness, a well stocked kitchen, the welcome pack and the comfort of the beds was extremely good. We all, especially our dog Walter, enjoyed relaxing in the garden with the stunning views after days out and about. The location too was perfect and it is so quiet. We were all sad to leave, but I’m sure we will be back. Thank you for helping us to make wonderful memories.

  • "What a lovely place to stay."

The cottage was very clean, well equipped and located down a quiet lane. The garden is not overlooked and has the most amazing views over fields towards Snowdon and the North Wales range. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed siting out under the covered veranda each day - the dark night sky was great for star gazing. Great location for exploring other parts of the island. Thanks for a lovely relaxing time.

  • "Ty Cerrig is a warm and well presented cottage."

We were impressed by the location, facilities and decor. Although there are other properties nearby they did not affect our use of the cottage or feeling of being in the countryside. Neighbours were welcoming. Lovely views from the garden. Location is ideal for exploring Anglesey and Snowdonia. Would happily rebook this cottage.

We’re so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your lovely feedback. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week away at Ty Cerrig with our 2 granddaughters."

The weather was cold and wet for most of the week, but the cottage was always warm and welcoming and had everything we needed. The cottage is in a beautiful location with amazing views of Yr Wyddfa and Yr Eryri mountain range. Our youngest granddaughter loved the beautiful garden with its birdlife. Thank you for sharing this glorious place with us.

  • "Ty Cerrig is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location."

Very clean and comfortable. Perfectly positioned to explore the island. The added little extras were gratefully received. Thank you. A couple of suggestions to improve the experience. 1. Your directions to find the cottage are accurate, however, an indication of the length of the track leading to it would have been appreciated. We were so close, then turned back because the track appeared to lead nowhere. Eventually we found it after a local told us to trust that the track would get us to our destination. It did. Maybe fill some of the potholes, they are real car killers! 2. We cooked our meals in the wonderful kitchen but were surprised to find some basics missing. Condiments , even just salt and pepper would have helped. Also, kitchen roll, we bought some and left it for the next guests. This was so useful when cleaning up at the end of the stay. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it. If we return the experience will be even better. Thanks

There was 4 of us so not a problem. Be careful decking was very slippy when wet. A lot more buildings next to the property than advertised. Property is stunning and very comfortable

  • "We loved the cottage."

It was fabulously furnished, beautifully clean and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The views and garden were an absolute delight. This trip, it was just my husband and I that stayed at the cottage and there was plenty of room for us and we loved the breakfast bar, which look directly into the garden. We spent several hours just watching the birdlife in the garden and would recommend taking some binoculars. We would definitely return and would like bring other family members, but felt the cottage would struggle to accommodate 6 comfortably with only 4 seats at the breakfast bar and a separate table and bench in the lounge to seat a further 2 people. Personally, we like to have family meals at the same table, but this is trivial and we'd probably set up a rota to sit at the breakfast bar :) . We had everything we could possibly need and loved the goodies that were provided, thank you. We managed to spend a lovely and unexpected afternoon in the garden, albeit togged up as it was the beginning of March.... We couldn't miss the opportunity, of a sunny afternoon in the wonderful garden with glass of wine. This would be an all round 5 stars for us, but we didn't expect the cottage to be part of small complex of cottages and slightly marked it down for accuracy of listing only, but this truly didn't spoil our experience. Honestly, this cottage is stunning.

All was of a high standard in a character cottage. It was fine for us (parents with two teenagers) but, although the property can sleep six, the lounge and dining facilities would be cramped for more than four people.

About the location

LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLL

Menai Bridge 2 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Affectionately known by the locals as Llanfair PG, the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogogoch, also known by its shortened name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has the longest place name in Europe. It was artificially named back in 1860 as a publicity stunt for the railway station and translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave". Situated close to the Menai Straits, just off the Britannia Bridge, Llanfair PG has much to offer families. After having your photo taken next to the village nameplate at the railway station, head into the popular visitors centre for local tourist information. A short walk past the octagonal Toll House, towards Menai Bridge, will bring you to the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column which, for a small fee, you can climb the 115 steps to the top for superb views of the countryside and coastline. Nelson’s Monument can be easily reached on the banks of the Menai Straits, passing St Mary’s Church on the way. With several good pubs with restaurants, craft and gift shops and cafes, plus the beautiful Anglesey coastline within walking distance, there is plenty to entertain you all year round.
