  • “A beautiful cottage in a beautiful area.”

We booked this cottage for a birthday weekend away and we were not disappointed. The cottage was beautifully clean and smelt fresh on entering. The kitchen had everything you could think of needing and a lovely welcome gift of fresh eggs. Milk, bread, butter and a delicious Bara Brith was awaiting us. Perfect for a brew and snack after a long drive. The cosy lounge room with the open fire and starter pack for the fire was perfect and very welcomed as we had the good old “welsh weather” ... ...

The cosy lounge room with the open fire and starter pack for the fire was perfect and very welcomed as we had the good old “welsh weather” .... rain and wind for 2 of our 3 days. We didn’t venture too far from the house but we did manage to get to a local visitor attraction called greenwood... great for kids! There was a basket full of leaflets for local attractions and things to do, places to eat etc which helped us choose and plan our days. There was also a selection of games and colours for the kids which came in useful to keep our 3 children busy. The owners were lovely and although their property is attached you neither saw or heard them unless they were leaving in their cars. The bedrooms were cosy and the beds were comfortable and we all slept well indeed. All I’m all we had a fabulous few days here and we would happily go back here and recommend this to any one.

About the location

LLANDDONA

Beaumaris 3 miles; Benllech 7 miles; Red Wharf Bay 7 miles.

Llanddona is a small village on the Isle of Anglesey. Famous for its magnificent Blue Flag beach, the village also contains a local pub. The beach stretches across Red Wharf Bay to Benllech. The bay is very shallow and at low tide almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 3 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, lovely buildings housing excellent shops, "olde worlde" pubs, restaurants, bistros, museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a beautiful location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey.
